So, anybody know this answer? What happens if?
1) If Michigan loses to Penn State and Ohio State
2) Ohio State loses to Michigan State
3) Michigan State loses to Purdue
All three teams would have two conference losses ( I know this unlikely) but in this scenario, Penn State would be ranked ahead of ALL three teams assuming they win out. I thought they looked at division losses, but that is not how I am reading it now....it is conference losses.
I know I am the eternal optimist, but there is long way to go until this season is over. I am still going back to 2016 when Penn State wasn't ranked and then upset Ohio State and went to number #5 the final week. Penn State has three ranked teams to play with Michigan being at #5 right now. A win over Iowa and Michigan, back to back, is putting them well into the top 10 with Wisconsin still to come to town. And who knows what the other top teams end up doing...maybe they pull a Buckeye let down. NW over ND? That has a good chance. FSU over Clemson? I doubt it, but Clemson has been known to blow a game here and there. Is a 1 loss Texas better than a 2 loss Penn State who didn't lose to MD? I think so.
There are SO many good match ups left to play, that this weekend is a MUST win for the LIONS. We all had a better shot at the Mega Millions last night vs PSU making the playoffs, but somebody DID WIN the lottery.
Go State!!!
Jim Delany will probably decide who goes lol
What if it snows in Hawaii?
It does snow in Hawaii and I'm pretty sure there's no issues.
Glad to see you always look at the glass half full.
Ohio State would win the east because they will have beaten both other teams head to head. Also, Purdue is not in the Eastern division so in the tiebreaker they would only have 1 divisional loss.
We would need Ohio State to lose twice more, there is really no way for us to finish tied and go.
I believe that glass was manufactured to the wrong specifications!
