Holy heck did anyone see the end of the Ole Miss - Cal game and what quite possibly was the worse blown call of the decade?? Hard to know if call was the worse or not since it didn't get reviewed .
Looks like they got the call right based on this angle.

Any play that close, in the waning seconds of the game, that could determine the outcome of said game, needs to be reviewed. Obviously they still needed a 2pt conversion to tie the game ... but even with these new views on the play, it still wasn't proven incontrovertibly not a TD
I agree, the expectation there is it will be reviewed
Ref got the call absolutely correct... Player did not push deep enough into end zone and went to ground with ball outside end zone... Some times the player just does not execute.
Play was called correct
The replay crew should have stopped the game and reviewed it. It is a game deciding play and exactly what the review booth is there for. Even officiating experts have stated at the minimum a review was warranted.
All it takes is a 1/16th of an inch of the nose of the football crossing the white stripe to be ruled a TD. With any of those replays that could not be determined. Yes the receiver came out of his break too soon, but I think the ball broke the plain while in his possession, before falling forward out of the endzone. I don't care a lick about either team, just prefer consistency in officiating.

I don't disagree but the ball was not even an inch from the goal line... The official had a perfect view and not one replay showed the ball even close to the goal line...
Replay officials in booth call for replay not officials on field...
Also a coach can challenge to get a replay...
I believe it was obvious to the replay officials and I'm not sure why the coach did not challenge...

A coach cannot challenge if they have no timeouts left.
Regardless, the Pac-12 conference even acknowledged that Instant Replay should have used better judgement to stop play for a formal review of the third down play
