Texas and ND are probably the only 2 teams that wasn’t ranked, lose and be ranked the next week 😂 I know it’s a pennlive rankings but the coaches and AP polls did the same crap.
the true top 5
#1 Georgia
#2 Alabama
#3 Ohio State
#4 Clemson
#5 Michigan
I only rank the top 5 because this is where the big dawgs play! 2-0 baby and things are looking so much better.
Clemson at 4 is ridiculous, thay have looked average at best against terrible teams.
@roaming-lion Clemson is 15-3 thier last 18 games and one of those losses was to Georgia. Still early just the way I see it today.

So what, so is Ole Miss. So is Michigan State. Clemson won 10 games last year because the ACC is trash. They barely beat 7-6 Iowa State in their bowl game.
@roaminglion Ole Miss and Michigan St ain’t been in the NC talk the last 10 years like Clemson has.

Being great 3 years ago is not more important than actually playing like a top 5 team now. LSU won the title and had one of the best offenses in college history in 2019, doesn't mean jack for this season.
Not saying Clemson can't be good, but rather saying being 15-3 in their last 18 doesn't mean much. Wake Forest is their best win in that time... that isnt impressive.
@roaminglion 2 games in Roam things will change as the season goes. Clemson had a down year last year and still won 10 games and they’ve been in the NC talk the last 10 years. If Michigan St and Ole Miss keep winning they’ll climb up the ladder, but they have a long way to go to get in the true top 5 I’ll go ahead and tell you that now lol
Scott Frost gets the AXE today!
@southern-psu-fan Clemson still won 10 games because they played in a trash conference last year.
My point was that rankings should have nothing to do with 4-5 years ago. I dont care. What Ole Miss, MSU, or Clemson did in 2018 has nothing to do with how good they are now.
Also, I wasnt saying MSU or Ole Miss should be in the top 5. Just saying those two schools won the same amount of games as Clemson in their last 18 games, and against better opponents. It doesn't matter.
I believe it does because Clemson has been recruited very good because of how good they’ve been the last 10 years and those players are still on the team that we’re recruited when they were winning NC’s. Clemson had QB problems last year and that’s why they lost 3 games. Close loaded with talent and if they get the QB problem fixed they’ll be back in the playoffs. I do agree with you about the ACC, it an average at best conference today. I wish GT would fire Collins and get Scott Frost, he’d be a good fit at GT I think?
In the AP Texas loses and gains 2 spots Penn State 2-0 barely ranked. When teams like Baylor lose they should drop below all the teams that are undefeated. We would give Baylor and BYU an azz kicking and both of these lightweights are ranked ahead of us. I can understand if Alabama gets upset they don’t drop way down but Baylor has done absolutely nothing to get that kind of respect.
Man, this Octoberfest Yuengling beer show is good baby but I can only have one I gotta work tomorrow 😁🇺🇸🍺
Disagree with you Clemson take, and you loss take. Rankings are about how good you are, not your record. I don't care if 1-1 Texas is ranked ahead of 2-0 Costal Carolina. Yes, sometimes you can tell that a team has talent in a loss. Beating horrible teams doesn't automatically mean you are better than other teams that lost. It just means you played awful teams.
Many things should go into rankings, not just wins. An 0-2 team that played Alabama and Georgia isn't automatically worse than some random team that beat Wagner and Illinois State. Who you played matters.
@roaminglion I just looked at the AP top 10 and they have the same teams in the top 5 as I do but I have Clemson 4th and they have Michigan 4th but the 5 teams are the same. All polls are just opinions but what has Oklahoma, USC, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma St done the last 10 years to deserve to be ranked in front of Clemson when Clemson is 2-0? Plus I think we’d both agree Clemson has better players than all them teams do today maybe Oklahoma would be close to ‘em but Clemson puts an azz kicking on Oklahoma the last 2 or 3 times they’ve played. Just last year Clemson played Georgia close while Michigan got destroyed by Georgia. It’s early Roam but time will tell.
I love the the banter between Southern and Roam; damnit give me a minute so I can grab a drink, lol. All in fun!
"but what has Oklahoma, USC, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma St done the last 10 years to deserve to be ranked in front of Clemson"
I DONT CARE WHAT ANY TEAM DID 10 YEARS AGO. I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY DID 5 YEARS AGO.
Florida has done way more than Kentucky in the past 10 years, that didn't mean chit yesterday.
But what has PSU done in the last 20 years? Other than a freak lucky blocked field goal, not much.
Clemson and LSU have won a national championship. ND has been in the big show.
@sky Penn St has won the big 10 3 times plus won some big bowl games. You can only play and beat who the they let you play. I guess Roam wants Kentucky or BYU in the top 5 😂 I’m just kidding buddy lol

And? Why does that make us so special? Michigan State won the Big Ten 3 times also, and has actually been to a playoff yet you continually say they aren't a "Big Dawg"
@roaminglion I didn’t say it made Penn St special, I just told him what Penn St accomplished the last 20 years because I thought he was asking. Michigan St ain’t a big dawg and 38-0 is what happens when you send a weak big 10 team to the playoffs. 31-0 is what happens when you send the second best team.
Southern’s brainwashed way of thinking is once again exactly why we can’t have only 4 teams in the playoff. He’s in for a shock when it goes to 12 teams and things don’t go the way ESPiN and Finebaum have him programmed to think.

Michigan State won the conference FFS, that means they were the best the Big Ten had.
Yeah, we should have gone in 2016... but it's interesting how people think we would have done better than Ohio State, considering we needed a fluke field goal block to beat them and we still lost to a 3 loss USC in the Rose.
The reason we got left out in 2016 is because of people who think past seasons mean anything rather than on the field results and winning the conference. Sound familiar?
FD is back !
