Who is going to watch the HBO movie Paterno? I'm torn because I know which way the story is going. Also feel that Sarah Ganin's involvement in the thing is going to result in a less than objective portrayal. I doubt she will have provided her source of the Grand Jury testimony. And that GJ "leak" powered the agenda by the media.

I finally got through to my service provider. On hold for long periods of time. I requested to have HBO added to my service. Customer service rep said I was about the 100th person that called to request HBO. This is no lie. I asked if I can have HBO removed on Monday. It will be removed the next biling cycle. I'm going to watch it.
I also assume State college will be highly patrolled on Saturday night.

I am sure they won't show him as someone who actively covered anything up, but I'm interested to see how far they push the "should have known" narrative.

How can you portray an 84 year old man, whose life was his family and a college football team? I guess you do the smart thing, play to the crowd and impute culpability because that was the narrative.
Not to mention they are concentrating on the actions within his family during that time period, non of which were consulted. So yeah. Fiction.
I'm still waiting for the identity of the person who leaked the GJ to Ganin. The GJ presentment as leaked set the narrative, which was followed blindly by every "news source". If the grand jury snippets are not leaked to Ganin, the story does not develop into a mushroom cloud.
Don't have HBO either, but have no doubt which direction this thing is going to go. I have always thought that the Second Mile reaches far and deep throughout the Northeast whose identities will remain secret. This will be half a story.
