I don’t see the big 10 getting in the playoffs this year. Ohio st and Michigan have a shot with one loss but no way will they take penn st with a loss unless all the other conferences have 2 losses. I hope Parsons is right but I don’t see it. I believe we’ll win the big 10 but we’ll have 2 losses. I believe we’ll go 10-2 this year and win the big 10. Michigan and Ohio st lost a lot and Ohio st has a new coach and QB. Michigan lost a lot and has a new OC. I don’t see any team going undefeated in the big 10

The committee will probably not take a 1 loss Big Ten team over Clemson or multiple SEC teams... but I seriously doubt they'd take a 1 loss Baylor or Washington State over Penn State.

I agree but they would take USC and maybe Washington if they were a 1 loss team. I don’t think they would take them over Michigan or Ohio st but they would over us. Even though joe was doing the right thing demanding a playoff for 40 years he burned some bridges with the voters NCAA and conference commissioners because it was taking power out of their hands and of course they punished him for it and still are punishing penn st for it when they get the chance. IMO we have to go undefeated to get in the playoffs when Michigan and Ohio st don’t. Roam I don’t see a big 10 team going undefeated especially in the east.

If Stevens is healthy and as effective as I think he will be, and our maturing youngsters play up to their great potential, we might go undefeated!  I may be overly optimistic, but at this time of year you can be, LOL.  Then again, what coach once said "..great potential can get you fired"?

Lol, I gotcha bob. I just look at Saban with all that talent and he has one undefeated season plus playing Michigan and Ohio st  every year just makes it tough to go undefeated. MROB was a complete beast his Sr year and we still slipped up at Michigan. 2008 we had a chance against Iowa and we slipped up. Of course I’ve watched that Iowa game back in 08 and I still didn’t see no interference but that’s the way Delany wanted  it 😂

Southern, I'll give you USC but not Washington. Back in 2016 Washington barely beat us out for the #4 spot and we had 2 losses to their 1. The committee said it was very close, and I'd bet if we had only 1 loss we'd have been the #3 seed easily ahead of Washington.

They said barely but we both know them scumbags wasn’t going to put us in the top 4. I said maybe on Washington just depends on how the season goes. I know we play in a much tougher conference. They would rather have conference champs in as long as it’s the teams they like. ND and Oklahoma are probably the only 2 teams that could keep Ohio st out. If ND runs the table or has one loss they’ll probably get in again this year. My prediction is Alabama, Clemson, Texas and probably Georgia. ND schedule looks a little tougher this year and they have to go to Athens. We’ll finish 12-2 big 10 champions. I don’t necessarily think this is the 4 best teams just the teams I think will be in the 4 popularity spots.

The whole system is a farce ... Any serious and logical person would have an 8 team playoff MINIMUM with the power 5 conferences sending their champion with 3 at large teams.... I call this a farce because they leave out conference champions for "eye test" teams.... It's a joke... If you can't win your own conference championship what makes you think your worthy of playing for a national championship? Hell you don't even gotta play in your conference championship game and if your one of the sacred cows your in... That's why I don't watch it... The whole thing is a farce and stinks to high heaven... I am proud to say that when I was playing we settled the issue on the field or basketball court unlike this horse hockey today... I say skip the games altogether and just put there sacred cows in now and stop insulting our intelligence .. The whole thing is a farce...
