Suze asked me to take her shopping the other day. One nice thing about NY, you can find an adult beverage in most malls. But this day, I decided I'd just grab a coffee while she went hunting for, who knows what. I wait my turn and order a cup of coffee, black. The guy behind the counter does his grinding, banging, steaming thing and sets a cup on the counter. I pay for it and find a seat to watch the scenery walk by. Taking the lid off, I inhaled what I thought should be a wonderful rejuvenating aroma. It smelled like crap! Not easily thwarted, I took a sip and about choked. $5 for a cup of coffee, I'm taking it back & try again.
Annoyed, I edged to the front of the line and told the "barista", politely, the coffee tasted like mud. He gives me the palms up, raised eyebrow, shoulder shrug and says "Well, yeah, it's fresh ground."

You sick demented puppies are something else!! We should finish boiling this weekend. My neighbor's bush will never be the same!! You guys are invited up next year to help tap it. Im guessing we've got close to 18" of snow so far in April
