I wish the PAC-12 and Big Ten had come to an agreement on playing each other over a 12 year period.  I do know they were in discussions about doing it, sort of like the Big Ten/ACC challenge in basketball.

It would have cycled teams back and forth every year, with 6 home games for the B1G and 6 for the PAC every year.  Each team would switch between home and away year by year.  Obviously, 2 B1G teams would be left out every year due to unbalanced conferences (12 & 14)

I liked the idea.  It guaranteed we'd get a Power 5 team every year on the schedule, and we could add a regional Power 5 to it.  That's what I'd love to see every year in our OOC:  Power 5 from far away / Regional Power 5 / Group of 5.

Something like Pitt, Oregon, & Tulsa.  Or Syracuse, Texas Tech, & Western Kentucky.  Or Miami, Virginia, and Akron.

At very least I would like to see Penn State play a PAC 12 team every year. I would give Penn State a west coast presence for recruiting. This is just my gut feel but it seems more east and Midwest talent heads west than the other way around. So Penn State plays patsy U. Of Nevada Reno in 2020, likely it fills the early part of the home schedule with an easy win and post season bowl assurance. In my opinion it would better serve the program if the game played in Las Vegas. I think there is an elite high school team there that might attract elite kids. Any way, a Pac12 vs. Big 10 annual challenge sounds like a good idea.
