I think the argument was always the top 6 or 8 teams might compete, and we're seeing that. 1&2 are out but 3-6 are the ones left.@southern-psu-fan Same ole Blah blah blah. This year has proved that teams that normally wouldn’t have made the playoff due to the typical bias did in fact belong and have beaten higher seeded teams and a Texas got screwed out of a chance at victory over the only team remaining from your favorite conference. In a 4 team playoff ND and wouldn’t have made it and Finebaum was proven to be nothing but a know nothing blowhard.

@psujoe I don’t have a favorite conference homer. I only pull for Penn St and Ga Tech you know that. Besides Penn St the big 10 champs has had a teams in the playoffs sometimes 2 so it’s not like the big 10 is being shut out. Y’all act like the big 10 doesn’t get in the playoffs and they always have teams in and they got beat and beat bad most of the time. Y’all know good and well I’ve always just wanted 4 conference champs in the playoffs. I don’t believe teams should get rewarded for losing like Ohio State and the SEC teams do. Yes Ohio State gets favoritism just like Alabama and Georgia does.

There have been many other teams that got screwed out of a chance just because they wore the wrong helmets or didn’t have the history of the teams that the lobbyists wanted in. @psujoe has there been an upset? Ohio St was picked to win both games, Penn St was picked to win both games and Texas was picked to win both games. ND was picked to win both games I believe, right? I don’t believe Georgia was picked to beat ND with a backup QB I might be wrong on that game I’m not sure. When we only had 4 teams I didn’t want to take a chance letting teams like coastal Carolina in the playoffs and I stick by what I always said, only conference champs should’ve got in the old playoffs..period.

If Carter is available vs ND, and it sounds pretty good that he will be, Penn State COULD roll ND by 21 points! Penn State cruised through the first two playoff games pretty much with ease. And they were far from perfect in either of those two games. Can you imagine if Penn State puts together 4 complete quarters against ND, limiting their mistakes and Allar plays the game he is capable of playing?
I think ND is going to score points. But I think the defense can hold ND to 17 or less. Sure, they beat GA 23-10, but 14 of those points were kind of unearned.....IMO. A bad decision by GA right before halftime and then a Kickoff return for a TD. ND only scored one offensive TD against Georgia and they started with the ball 1st and 10 on Ga's 13 yardline when they scored that only TD.
As far as our offense is concerned, Singleton and Allen are hot and playing well. Warren is unstoppable and there is no way ND will shut him down! I also think Evans and Wallace are peaking at the right time or at least they seem to be coming into their own the past few games.

I am really concerned with Ohio State. They are looking WAY better right now than they did when they played in Happy Valley. If we beat ND, I really hope we play Texas and not Ohio State. Smith is on fire and he is really playing well. I just don't know if we can contain him. We held him to 55 yards and no TD's, but dang is he looking good in the playoffs....290 yards and 4 TD's against two pretty good teams. But then again, we ALWAYS seem to be able to hang with Ohio State.
Let's hope for a complete 4 quarter Penn State game next week. I just don't think ND can't beat us unless we make mistakes and poor decisions. Penn State is playing well, they just need to limit these dumb penalties and stop shooting themselves in the foot. If Allar doesn't fumble the ball against Bosie, we would have gone up 21-0 and that game would have looked a lot different from there. We were just pounding Boise with the run and I totally believe they would have put another 7 on the board the way they were playing.

@mtnittanylion I’ll take that score with ND all day long brother. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve been waiting 2 years to see DA put together 4 quarters and I ain’t seen it yet. I don’t know if he’s capable of putting 4 quarters together. We have the defense to beat any team out there if Abdul Carter in on the field I believe he’s got better at DE since the Ohio State game, he’s been a beast the last 5 or 6 games. We need DA to do what he does best and that’s play smart football, he does take care of the ball. If our OC would consistently run what’s working that might help DA being more consistent so everything might not be on the QB. The dang offense all need to all get on the same page and we can win this thing.
I believe we matchup better against Texas because of our defense just like Georgia did. Texas imo matches up better against Ohio State because Sarks will run what’s working on offense until you stop him and that’s a plus for Texas and Ohio State ain’t in Texas heads like they are ours. Odds are Ohio State won’t get these BS penalties in their favor when the game is on the line playing Texas. I’m starting to lean Texas but if Ohio St wins I win $200 I love putting myself in these winning positions 😂💰

Texas has a much better defense than Oregon and Tennessee just like we do. We will see is the good thing.

If Texas loses, I've think the fanbase will blame Sark for sticking with Ewers instead of pulling the trigger with Arch Manning. It seems like a lot of their fans think Ewers has a lower ceiling compared to Manning... who is viewed as raw but huge potential.
Ewers allegedly has a $6 million offer on the table to transfer so I’m betting that Texas fans won’t have to push very hard to get him to leave

I think this game comes down to the lines... Whichever team's offensive line plays better will win. What scares me is Notre Dame shutting down our run game.
@roaminglion ND held GA to something like 2.1 yards per rush which is why I think this game will be on Allar to make plays.
