Just curious to know how many of you enjoyed the pre Big Ten schedule of playing Pitt, WVU, Temple, Rutgers, Boston College, Syracuse on a regular basis and also alternating with some bigger schools such as ND, Miami, Alabama, Texas and many more.

I for one, did not like the move into the Big - I know all the reasons why we did .. blah blah blah.  Maybe I am just nostalgic - but I just don't feel it like I use to.

I thought the B1G sucked back then and I still think it sucks today but it's also pretty apparent that the quality of play of some of the teams from the old schedule has declined. I guess what I'm saying is I'd rather have the old schedule but would prefer if teams like Syracuse and sPitt were more competitive. I'd much rather take a roadtrip to Morgantown or Syracuse in October than the bland boring Midwest.

I think we made the big 10 better and it helped teams like Ohio st recruit better because they were nothing for 15 or 20 years before we got in the big 10, heck Michigan was much better than Ohio st I think. Ohio st gained more than anybody but the problem is I don’t know why I’m just going by their results on the field. Maybe somebody does know why? I know it’s recruiting better players but why? I’m with remoh the big 10 stunk before we got in but I do think it’s a lot better today. I still wish we were in the ACC playing Clemson Miami Florida st and my Yellow Jackets 🐝 baby.

Remoh would the teams like Syracuse BC and Pittsburgh recruit better if we were in a conference with them?

I'll take Minneapolis, Madison, and Chicago over Syracuse and Morgantown any day. 😂

One big reason SPF is the amount of money they spend. OSU has a ridiculous football budget, they spend more on it then any other Big Ten school. I believe they are #2 behind Texas nationally.

For comparison, OSU spends $40 million more on football per year than Penn State.
