Elko took over a 3-9 team and won 9 games. Manny took over Elko's team. Not remotely the same, especially when Duke looks worse in year 2 by a lot.

@roaminglion depends on what Duke lost the year he left. I don’t keep up with Duke football it manny may have had to rebuild the team. The only thing g we do know is Manny won 9 games same as Elco and this year they’re 5-4 another chance to get 9 wins. Gotta let the season play out. The coaches we’re talking to that we have a chance to get has lost games to or has no head coaching experience. Hopefully it’s Manny or Fitz both will be great fits at Penn St.
I'd prefer Manny, but Fitz would be good. Bottom line is, I'll support whoever it is the powers that be select until he steps on his schwantz .

Last I checked Tulane isn’t Duke.
My personal opinion is that Cignetti, Brohm, Brady, Elko, Hartline and even DeBoar are all tremendous coaches that have the ability to inject enthusiasm and take the program to being elite...I have faith that the next HC will be one of these guys and I have faith in the brain trust and money men to discern between them and bring in the right guy...
