You all know I'm an Alabama fan, but I laughed when he said they haven't bought one player. LMAO, their QB made $1 million before even becoming the starter last year.

I went to Penn State for undergrad and they are my #1 team. Also my grandfather went to Alabama, my father went to Alabama, and I received my Masters from Alabama. Yes, it's possible to like more than one team. SMH
College football will never be the same. Most pro athletes have little money left 5 years after their playing days are over. Many are bankrupt and in trouble for tax evasion. It will be even worse for kids earning NIL money. And the real tragedy will be NIL will take the focus off of education.

Let's just be happy we have college football. 2 years ago we twiddled our thumbs hoping they played when covid struck. It kept our sanity. Just remember, you don't know what you got until it's gone. We live in a great country, land of the free. Focus on the good things in life.

NIL makes all this legal. Pay for play in college has been around for a long time. Sadly, the alumni have been doing this stuff for years.

All of the above. A former FSU player said he was offered big money to go to Alabama but chose not to go there. Saban is pissed because he knows he can’t come up with the money USC & Texas, & Texas A&M can. Watch Rutgers start playing with the big boys. The Scarlet Knights play in the media and financial capital in the world.
