So yet another issue with Zack Smith emerges, this one about how Smith had a DUI in 2013. Of course, Zack Smith is saying he handled it outside of OSU and neither they nor Meyer knew nothing about it. Really? Your subordinate... a coach on the team gets a DUI and no one at OSU knew about it? That's pretty hard to believe, especially in the face of a coach lying about knowing about another incident.

Did no one wonder why he suddenly wasn't driving his car for 6 months? It's getting pretty hard to believe the coaches and staff didn't know what their own colleague was doing. At this point they either knew or "didn't want to know".

Not to mention the regular dumpster fire the 2015 incident has become. Apparently the Meyer supporters now believe Tom Herman (Texas Head Coach) set this all up, and Courtney Smith found someone to beat her up in order to take pictures of it and get Meyer's wife to say she's scared of Zack? Odd.

Now add on that Courtney Smith's own mother is saying Zack is innocent, and this story is just entirely bizarre. However, there are text messages from 2014 that show the mother sending texts indicating she DOES know her daughter is being beaten.Β  Then again... there are now quotes like: "He was putting his hands against her throat and pushing her against a wall to get away. That’s all I’m going to say" & "I do not believe he intentionally abused her." - OK.... for one, who chokes someone in order to get away from them? WTF. Secondly... "Intentionally abused"?? How do you abuse someone by accident? Again, this is just BIZZARE.

You may ask, who knows if it's her or not at this point... because on her verified Facebook account she said that she never sent any of the texts being reported.Β  WTF? This story is JUST. PLAIN. WIERD. Are the texts real? I'd have to think the reporter could back up who sent them if he's going to paste them on the Internet... and apparently they WERE VERIFIED now too, so they are authentic.

Welcome to 2018, land of the truly wacky and strange.

Yeah, the more I hear the more that I think the whole lot of them need to be gone. Or maybe this could be an episode of Jerry Springer? Maybe a whole season? Is he still on the air?

If you work for a state agency and your job involves driving a state vehicle (recruiting trips?), they will eventually know about a DUI.

I think if he wasn't Earl Bruce's grandson, he would have been gone long before now.

Apparently the judge thatΒ  reduced his sentence is a 1968 graduate of.....you guessed it......Ohio State University and is also a member of the President's club.Β  This is really starting to get good!!Β  Zac Smith is also saying that even though his license was suspended, he was allowed to drive on recruiting trips.

Pretty sure no one is saying Herman set the whole thing up but they are saying he was the whistleblower and the evidence that he was is pretty convincing. Have to say that if that judge was indeed an OSU grad he needs to be investigated.

And then there's the fact that the "independent" investigative panel that's investigating the whole mess has OSU Board of Trustees on it.

NY state judges will sometimes allow DUI/DWI folks a conditional license, though hard to get, to drive to work. They must prove legitimate hardship and have no other way to get to their place of employment.

Not thinking they couldn't find anyone else to drive on recruiting trips.
