What is wrong with Brohm?  Or we do have the Saban NY Giants guy?  They are both credible.  Manny?  Or we have a Long Term Interim 🙁

Just watched some of Audrey Snyder’s podcast and the “ mystery coach” was Sitake, they were planning on announcing his hiring and then he decided to stay at BYU. That means we might be in trouble. But I’m still hearing Daboll’s name a lot too which I think would be a desperation hire by Kraft. I think this would be a terrible hire!

If Sitake was the whale/the mystery coach, then this really has been a shit show from day 1, and the psu administration is a bunch of inept dumbasses.

that’s what Snyder and Jon sauber were saying. Sitake was it. They were already writing the write-ups about it. But Kraft never got anything in writing and the next day Sitake decided to stay. Very bad look on Kraft, safe to say he has really screwed this up. He should have used a hiring firm as someone suggested earlier. But his ego got in the way and it seems he might be in desperation mode. I hope he doesn’t hire that Daboll ex-giants coach that people are talking about..

From watching that podcast that went live at 6pm tonight they are both saying it’s not looking good. And also it might be Brian daboll who Kraft gets. But they both agree it would be a bad hire too. You were right Southern this is a shitshow.

@psfaninsc I don’t know much about daball but I believe he’s a much better fit for Penn St than the BYU coach. The BYU coach was bringing all his assistant coaches so that means all Penn St assistant coaches would be fired. Had the BYU thing happened Penn St wouldn’t have any Penn St guys on the staff. Just going on what I heard I can’t prove anything. Daball will probably keep some of the Penn St guys.

maybe, but Sitake probably would have brought some players too.. who is Brian Daboll going to bring with him? He hasn’t coached in college since 2017. I think that would be a bad hire. As I said earlier if we’re going with a NFL’r I’d rather take Gruden at least he was successful in the NFL. Daboll not so much.

For the record I can’t prove shit I post. I just tell what I believe might hold some weight that I’ve heard on espn and other sports shows. I’m just a truck driver in Atlanta that loves Penn St football 😂

@psfaninsc another reason to bring Manny in. He can bring the few Duke players in that might be good enough to play at Penn State and he’d definitely retain the Penn State assistant coaches. He’s worked with some of  ‘em 2 years

some of the penn state guys need to go anyways, I think Sitake would have been an ok hire. I don’t know how he was Krafts #1, I was wanting Chesney because I thought that was a realistic hire. I didn’t see any of the big names leaving there school.

@psfaninsc I’d rather had Hartline than Chesney he’s coached the heavyweights and has been groomed by some of the best.

I would have been good with Hartline as well and Stein too. To bad those ships have sailed. Now it might end up being a coach who just got fired from the NFL. If that happens, it will be a long year next year I’m afraid.

In a separate video posted on social media by D11sports.com, Falzone credited Penn State assistant quarterbacks coach Trace McSorley, PSU’s quarterback on its 2016 Big Ten title team, for his role in Falzone’s decision to sign with the Lions. McSorley making some noise in recruiting.

@psfaninsc  we gotta give whoever the guy is a chance. I’m just glad it’s not the ByU coach and Lincoln Riley.

I would take either of those over Daboll, they say the BYU coach wouldn’t fit? How does Daboll fit? The other 2 have been successful college head coaches, Daboll was on Saban’s staff for “1” year and bolted back to the NFL and was eventually fired. Bad idea of a hire if he is Krafts desperation pick.

Matt Rhule was as successful as Daboll in the NFL. I hope it’s not true that Daboll is really in consideration.

Its either DeBoer or Terry Smith.  You will know on Sunday. Personally, I would rather see it go to Smith and take our lumps for a year or two while he rebuilds. He wants to be there, wants to win, and he is part of the family.  We tried outside the family, and that didn't work.

I like Grunk! I think his play may help bring in some good WR's and RB's through the portal.  He has a lot of room to grow, but you can't argue too much on his development over 6 games.  From the bench to Iowa and Ohio State and then Indiana at home......tough little stretch for a RS Freshman who almost won two of those games. And he won the games he was SUPPOSED TO WIN!!

GO STATE!!!!

@mtnittanylion  Yes sir Grunk is the real deal. FOX sports said Manny Diaz hasn’t signed a new contract so maybe there’s a little light again because I’m not wanting just throw away 2 or 3 years get Manny in here and stop the bleeding let him bring the few Duke players that’s good enough to play at Penn St and hit the transfer portal then we have a shot to get something done next year because the schedule ain’t all that bad. Diaz will also retain the talent of coaches we have but Daboll I believe will too and if he’s the man he’s a coach we all can get behind he’s from the NE that’s better than a BYU coach that’s use to having his players 4 or 5 years because that ain’t happening anywhere with the heavyweights. IMO the BYU coach would’ve been a freaking disaster we’d win 3 to 5 games a year because you have a lot of turnover with teams like Penn St while at BYU they don’t it’s just a different atmosphere BYU is so much different. BYU players stay together 4 or 5 years they don’t change their roster like other teams do that’s why they’re so good and competitive they have continuity and it makes life easy for a coach. They’re not going to win a NC but they can be good. We dodge a freaking bullet by that dude turning down the Penn St job he would’ve been the worse coach we could’ve gone after that’s a total different environment out there and it always has been this ain’t nothing new. The BYU coach is a very good coach for BYU but at Teams like USC or Penn State I don’t believe he’d get it done. JMO though

@psfaninsc  the Giants is a hard place to coach look at the last 15 years so I’m not going to judge Daboll just on that. He’s developed some good QB’s and he’s a good OC from what I hear. Not a lot of coaches that’s good enough to get NFL jobs so to spend that much time in the NFL he’s gotta be a good coach and at Penn State he’d be surrounded by good assistants assuming he keeps them. I’d rather have Manny and Dabeor but we might not work out for whatever reason.

Since BYU was the AD’s target that’s why he was trying to keep it quiet he wanted the deal done before the fans and former players knew because he knew he was going to get hammered. What does it say on how he feels about the assistant coaches on the team now that are Penn St guys when BYU coach was bringing all his assistant coaches with him? I’m assuming this only on what I hear on sports channels like cbs and espn. WTH does people have against former PSU players and coaches? That needs to be fixed. LJ Sr was done the same way i remember when LJ wanted the job and he said, why not Larry Johnson?

The AD got schooled on this move if its played out the way it has been reported.

There are plenty of options out there, the question is if the AD can unpucker and get a solid decision signed.

@psfaninsc Thinking it's going to be a long year next year, no matter who gets the HC job.
