I wonder how much time Neeli and the BOT spend worrying about this coach search. Maybe they are consumed with the educational and financial aspects of PSU and football is a minor consideration.
I think it has their attention as the football program is the cash cow for the athletic department...They have a BILLION dollar stadium and facility renovation going on so I would think this would be on their minds...

I read an article that said the administraition is getting involved in the search. Is the any info on this? if they are it should not be as secret as who they are going to try to get.
If the total PSU budget is 9.9 billion then the athletic dept. is good for 15 to 20% of that budget's income at a minimum...So yes...I am sure this has the attention of the Universities brain trust...

I thought the Athletic Dept had a separate budget independent of the University.
Brownale they very well may...I have no idea how the financial structure at Penn State is set up...I can tell ya that however you wanna separate it all out that the Penn State Football Program is going to be somewhere in the 15-20% range of their gross income...Trust me the BOT is watching this coaching hire very closely...I can assure you this has their undivided attention...

Like I noted somewhere else, when we screw up we screw up big. This comes from being consistently boring, when things are abnormal we seem to choke.
