It's going to be nasty at game time. Hopefully there will be some breaks of rain and wind. Make sure to dress warm and bring your poncho. That football will be more slippery than pucks on a shuffleboard .
Yes but what did the local newspaper guy say?
Since you asked, 9 out of 12 writers are going with Iowa.
I said LOCAL writers.
They were local writers.
LMAO you are such a MORON
Lay off the booze.
and 9 out of 12 were wrong
But were they Senior Writers with seniority ?
Two families rented RV’s (2). We stayed at the Grange Park in Centre Hall because the RV lots outside of Beaver Stadium were cut in half and we were unable to secure one. What a mud fest! It rained from the time we got there only to let up temporary when we packed up to leave on Sunday. It didn’t stop us from having a great time and biting our collective nails in the final 6 minutes of the game. I realize the weather was gawd awful but hugely disappointed with empty seats especially the students. Lots of Iowa fans there but to a person they were absolutely respectful of the home team and fans.
It was a mess. Bcz the RV lots were closed to RVs, we parked in that lot. Had they not closed the lot, towing companies would have made a fortune. Not quite Woodstock, but with music, LSD and weed, could have been. I enjoyed the game and Iowa fans I encountered were great. Students bailed from the game, but that's not unusual.
The students rarely ever show up anymore. They come early for the whiteout but the rest of the games they might be in their seats by the middle of the second quarter and then they leave during or shortly after halftime. They need to take about 2500 away from the students and sell them to people that really want them. The stadium probably won't be as loud but at least their won't be embarrassing empty seats.
