Hope you didn't forget southern, Eagles season ticket holder here..Great to welcome, and have Miles in the  Eagles family , great  pick..

Birds running game is in big need of upgrade..When they won the Super Bowl, LaGarrette Blount and Jay Ajayi were a terrific 1 and 1A combo..Eagles let Blount walk in free agency, Ajayi went down early with knee injury, and  we were left with a trio of 3rd string backs..and hardly any running game

Eagles have traded for Jordan Howard, who will undoubtedly be no 1 RB; Miles may have  a chance to be no 1A, if he impresses..Great opportunity for the young man.

Sanders is a much better fit in that offense than Jordan Howard... If Boobie can pick up the blitz and pass blocking he will take over that job in short order. .

I kinda doubt that..Howard was obtained in trade for a reason, to start..TRue, he's referred to as mostly a first/second down back, the offense did just fine winning the super bowl, with LaGarrette Blunt at RB, hardly a pass catcher in his own right..

Its tough for a rookie RB to step in as the main man in this offense, not only will  Miles have to be better in pass protection, he has to learn to protect the ball, comes to NFL with  a bit of a rep for putting ball on ground, a path  which leads to oblivion in the NFL, should it be  a problem..

Assuming all that is accomplished, he then has to beat out Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, for no. 2 Clement, an UFA out of Wisconsin in 2017, had  an excellent 1st yr, as a pass receiving 3rd down back, and part time rusher, regressed last yr, then suffered season ending injury, his health may be  a issue...Smallwood gives the Birds  a good game now and then, but he's undersized, and endurance is an issue, Adams was a UFA out of ND who led Birds in rushing last yr with over 500 yds but disappeared in playoffs..

I think Boobie, (if that is Sanders, never heard that name before),has more long term potential than those 3, but will  have to show it on field first..

Culture they all have to show it on the field and you make a very cogent point regarding ball security however Jordan Howard is a very poor fit for that offensive scheme and in my opinion Sanders is the superior talent in that running back stable...Time will tell but I don't think it will be very long before Mr. Sanders takes over that backfield....

I think the Birds have had  a terrific off season, Southern, and have done some things theyre not known for, i.e. signed a 32 year old Desean Jackson, and a 3o yr old DT...all of which are sending a message to their fan base that they think they can get back to the SB...Anything  short of the NFC title game will be a disappointment, as the EAGLES LOST  a heartbreaker in 2nd round to NO, while having a super bowl "hangover " type yr..The drafting of an OT,and RB Sanders is getting rave reviews in Philly, Sanders being touted yesterday as the future at RB,and  first three down back since  fellow Pittsburgher, Lesean McCoy.

They are giving Carson Wentz everything he needs; a healthy Wentz, and the Birds should soar in '19..

As for ND, the talent on hand and the schedule definitely gives them another shot at that CFP Playoff you love to bash..Three tough road games should/will define  their season..
