What I saw today were two very, very good defenses and average offenses.
I'd say our defense is better than both, OL and running game similar, but our passing game was worse. What happened in both games was basically the defense just couldn't win it for us. Did all they could, but our passing attack was aenemic.
I truely believe just 1 elite WR would have us 12-0. One guy who could be that "bail out" guy. OSU has 3 guys better than our #1. Michigan has 2.
Michigan beat OSU for 1 reason... better QB. JJ McCarthy isn't a great QB, but he's an above averag athletic guy. It was enough. Especially because we couldnt pass.
Darn it. Maybe I shouldnt have watched the game because it made me angry that we lost to these two.

I'll buy that!! I wonder what would have happened if we would have got the WVU transfer Prather who instead went to Maryland. He could have been a game changer.
I agree.
I have my thoughts ln DA, however there is something to be said about having teammates that make you better and imo those goes hand in hand with QBs and WRs. Hard for a QB to make a WR better if it just isn't there it's not there and vice versa. Kinda like playing any other sport and when the star player doesn't have other competent and confident star players playing along side, it becomes a grind etc.. I'm giving DA the benefit of the doubt on this one (lack of big time recievers) at the moment, not that it really matters, lol.
IMO 1 elite wr wouldn’t have gotten us a win vs Meatchicken. Meatchicken ran the ball over 30 times in a row and we couldn’t stop them, they are built to defeat teams like OSU.
Yeah but they ran like that because they knew we couldnt throw. Even then, they needed a fumble and turnover on downs to score in the second half. Those were their only points.IMO 1 elite wr wouldn’t have gotten us a win vs Meatchicken. Both short fields. If we could pass, that's a totslly different game. I know a lot of people keep saying they ran the ball, but idk... it didnt really do much other than keeping the ball a while. They got 1 FG off a fumble, and a late TD off a turnover as well.
Other than that? Surr they got some yards.
