Jim Delany comes through again lol, I don’t know much about this QB’s situation but if Roam says he should sit a year I believe him.
Yeah, it's kinda BS that he was allowed to transfer without penalty. Delany has nothing to do with the situation though, it's not up to the Big Ten to allow it. That's the NCAA's job.
He said that he was "misled" and lied to by Ole Miss, which is hogwash because everyone knew Ole Miss was dirty when he was being recruited. They already went through the first round of sanctions before more came out after he signed. It's not like they could hide it from him, the worst they did was tell him that they felt the sanctions weren't going to be that bad. However, he knew they couldn't control what the NCAA did.
All that said, his stats aren't that impressive anyway. Take away the 9 TD's he threw against South Alabama and an FCS school... and he's mediocre. Looked Awful against Alabama and LSU, and while his stats look good against Auburn it was all in mop up time after they were down 38-3. Cal picked him off 3 times too. Only game he did decent against a defense with a pulse was Vanderbilt last year. And they weren't that great. He's only a sophomore, so he should get better... but he wasn't even going to start for Ole Miss next year if he stayed.
I’m glad you explained that Roam but I’m telling ya had he transferred to Indiana he would’ve had to sit out a year. These NCAA crooks show favoritism towards some schools and Michigan is one of ‘em. Delany may not have called him but they have a gentleman’s agreement on how they get things done lol
