Just wanted to update everyone on what is going on in the land of the Nits.
If anyone has tried to log in today to post and is unable to do so that is because you did not heed my warning. The personal attacks must stop. I think I have given everyone on here more leeway than I probably should have. So, as this is primarily a football forum members will be treated as so.
The first offense is a 1-week suspension so you will not be able to participate in the forum and live chat for one week. The second offense will be a month-long ban including bowl games. The third you are off the team.
I mean come on, is it really too much to ask to just treat each other like adults? I do not care if you come here from another team and talk trash, I do not care if you want to bash the coaches all day long, I do not care who you vote for. It's a message board and its a place to vent but, again, I will not tolerate personal attacks and swearing. Thank you to all who have played by the rules.
Remember, if we all had the same ideas and thoughts and opinions this would be a pretty boring place to hang out. Opinions of any kind are welcome but personal attacks are not.
I really am trying to make this the best Penn State message board on the internet and I have put a lot of time, effort and money into doing so. Please do not make that for naught. The less babysitting I have to do the more I can focus on improving the site for everyone.
This is not something to cheer or celebrate as it is a shame I had to do this. I want everyone to be able to come here and enjoy this forum. Enough was enough though.
OK, On to the good stuff.
In the coming weeks, the message board will be taking on a slightly new look. It will keep all of the functionality that you have come to love but will include many improvements that have been requested by you all, the users.
The first one I am focusing on is:
Mobile First Design:
The majority of you are using the site on mobile devices so one of the biggest improvements you will see is improved usability on your phones.
Additional Topics:
I will be adding a variety of different topics to the site including some general ones to talk about whatever you'd like. Please let me know if you have any specific requests in this thread.
Many more improvements will be coming but I wanted you all to know that one of these days soon when you visit the site it will have a new look and feel but the same ease of usability.

Thanks Cave for all you have done and continue to do! As I stated in one of my recent posts, being a PSU fan abroad I really enjoy being able to come to a place where I can spend some time with other people who are passionate about PSU football! You have been very lenient and have been crystal clear on numerous occasions on what is acceptable and not acceptable behavior on the site. Sorry you were forced into being the babysitter!

Well said and spot on...Hopefully this will simmer things down a little bit around here...I am really saddened by all of this as we have a small group here who have been posting for years...I like and respect all of you guys (even Pipe) and even though I disagree with some of the opinions here and have a back and forth with some of you it is all in good fun and every once in a while one of you will post something that I will immediately think is nonsense and after thinking about it a little bit find that the post is correct...I for one am calling for civility and a clearing of the air to end the personal stuff...This is a small and in my opinion close knit community of folks who love Penn State and enjoy keeping up with the programs and hope going forward we can all at least keep some decorum and treat each other with respect even if we disagree...I know we are all better than what went on Saturday Night in the game chat....Thanks for everything Caven and I think I can speak for all of us that this forum is terrific and we are all grateful for you keeping what started on PennLive going...That's all I have to say on all of this...It's time to move on to the Wisconsin game...
