Rumors circulating that Luketa won't play in the Outback Bowl and will pass up his final year of eligibility to declare for the draft. If true that means both DE, 2 LB and our stud S are all out for the bowl game! The D is going to look a lot different on Jan 1.

According to James Franklin this game is being taken very serious as a building block for the 2022 season.
These exhibition games were meant to be a kind of reward for the players. The coaches love them for the extra practices that they allow the team to have. I do dislike the fact that players don't have the integrity to play for the team that gave them the opportunity to play. This does however give younger players a chance for some game experience. There is nothing wrong with bowl games except that there may be a few too many of them these days.
Personally I would get rid of the playoff and have all the bowl games matched up by the final polls, 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, ...
If you keep score, it's a game that counts

Can't blame him. He performed additional duties because of injuries and no doubt raised his draft stock. All that said, how big of a rebuilding year will 22 be?
All teams are playing by the same rules so I don’t have a problem with guys sitting out. I’d rather them play but if they don’t, next man up. Just goes to show how important the whole 85 guys on scholarship are because it’s a team sport and coaches better not waste a scholarship.we should beat Arkansas regardless because Arkansas ain’t no big dawg baby, we is 😁 we need to play like one January 1st because like ole Weyman Sellers use to say..there is no excuse!
@southern-psu-fan That is true Southern. Thank you for the cheery good morning greeting. All fine here in Erie, Pa and hope the same for you.
Can't blame 'im, but would love to see him back for one more season.
Luketa will play and arrived in FLA yesterday. No truth to the rumor that since he had returned to Canada he'd be opting out. Still no word on whether he is NFL bound or not.

Gonna need Luketa with Brooks and Smith opting out.
I think the man has a monster Bowl game and off to the NFL he goes. Any player who suited up for 3 plus years and hung tight during the inaugural Covid season earned his decision and respect, IMO; I wish the man well in whatever direction he takes.
