Just read this dude Kaiden Salter is getting in the transfer portal. Looks like he’s a pretty good QB. Hopefully James Franklin gives him a look.
I'm sure a QB that looked good playing at Liberty would look good playing in the BIG.
Do the Diaz Blue Devils need a QB?
@psugrad81 i agree but we have to try something to get better at QB. I’m just a regular fan sitting in the stands watching and Saturday was the worst QB play I’ve ever watched live at the college level. To be fair the college games I have been to have been good teams and the QB’s were Joe Hamilton, George Godsey, McSorley, Hack to name a few and I’ve been to the SEC championship game between Florida and Arkansas and I’ve been to 5 or 6 Georgia games and most of these teams had good QB’s but the games I have been to DA wouldn’t see the field that’s how bad he is. I know the kid is trying his best but he’s not good enough to be the starting QB at Penn St. I just ain’t seeing it 81 and I’ve tried my best to give him a chance. Hopefully he proves me wrong and I’m definitely pulling for him.
We need a QB with Moxie, regardless of how many stars he has or doesn't have!
@rip I believe we got one in #9 BK if James Franklin will give him a chance. I wouldn’t question James Franklin if he didn’t let McSorley sit on the bench and watch. Last Saturday would’ve been the perfect time to send Pribula out right before halftime just to see if he could’ve made something happen to get the lead. I just can’t wrap my mind around that one. Smh
Can anybody give me a reason why Pribula was put back on the bench right before halftime after he got us back in the game throwing a TD pass to singleton?
The backups are always better. Coaches do that intentionally. They always sit the best QBs so that their fans have something to complain about.
@psugrad81 I’m not saying that but sometimes a different style of QB play can help win a game if the starting QB is stinking the field up. Some coaches like Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban get it and their track record is pretty good. IMO DA can only manage a game but if we need him to win a game for us we’re in trouble. I honestly believe we would’ve won that game Saturday if all the players didn’t sit out but I also believe if we had a good QB we could’ve won it anyway. We needed him Saturday. We gotta get better at QB. Just my opinion though
I think #15 will do well next season but I also think #9 needs to get more significant playing time.
Looks like #3 is headed to the portal and I won't be surprised if he becomes a Diaz Blue Devil.
@tae-buetel I was thinking the same thing until I watched the kid play up close…i ain’t seeing it but I’m dang sure hoping for it. I’m your biggest cheerleader you being right Tae lol
They have one and won't use him because Franklin thinks you are better off screwing 114 players than upsetting 1 player. We need a QB with Moxie, regardless of how many stars he has or doesn't have!
Because JF is a very consistent coach to the point that his consistencies tip off the other side. JF is not an adjuster and seriously, that aspect of the game is very uncomfortable for his personality as he likes things in scheduled, organized manor. JF doesn't know how to create chaos as a game time coach to exploit his opponent's weakness to take advantage of his own strengths. Simply put, he is not wired to do anything other than being predictable.@rip I believe we got one in #9 BK if James Franklin will give him a chance. I just read the starting Maryland QB is in the transfer portal. Said he didn’t play in the bowl game. So Maryland best Auburn with a backup quarterback. This dude would be a great get for us if we can get him. The more competition the better. This dude will be game ready from the get go. I can’t spell the dudes name but y’all know who he is.
Trey Potts declared for the NFL draft. Hate to lose a RB but we are loaded at RB.
@southern-psu-fan Wish Trey would have gotten on the field a bit more. Seemed to be a pretty good back.
@been-there-ii He’s a pretty good RB and I’d love to have him back for another because you need 3 good RB’s these days. But when he’s on the field we take a huge step back that’s how good NS and KT is we are loaded at the starting position at RB. I believe we got some young studs on the way to. The Maryland QB is who James Franklin needs to be going after.
@southern-psu-fan I dunno know Bro. Granted it's a limited sample size and Potts was usually in against a tired defenses, but;
Potts 6.2 avg yrds per carry
Allen 5.2
Singleton 4.4
Agreed, he got the job done when he got to play. Wish we would have used him as a FB with either Allen or Singleton as RB. Both FB & RB on the field at the same time. Kinda like Franco & Lydell.
This is getting ridiculous... He's had 5 years of eligibilty and now is tranferring for a 6th year? What? I hope his waiver is denied. 6 years is too much, just leave already.I just read the starting Maryland QB is in the transfer portal. Said he didn’t play in the bowl game. @roaminglion I concur, not sure we need/want a one & done QB. Granted, he had some good games, but so has Allar.
