The inevitable bitching, whining, griping, and complaining about the 12-Team playoff has begun. The link to an article based on comments by Paul Finebaum is below. If the purpose is to crown a National Champion, the only logical solution is the 128-Team, Random Draw (Unseeded) Tournament. The jpeg below shows the 128-Team Tournament layout.
He’s definitely pissed about us being ranked ahead of Georgia. Georgia has lost 2 games but they also have 1 big win. Georgia will get in if they win out but I’m afraid if we lose we won’t. I don’t believe we’re going to lose, Maryland and Purdue are garbage and Minnesota is mediocre so we should finish 11-1. It ain’t Penn St fault Washington, USC and UCLA pretty much stink, that’s their fault. Just don’t lose baby and we in. 😁
USC may stink but they beat LSU...Texas uses the Michigan win as one of their signature wins...The hypocrisy is astounding...Who have any of these teams played that is worth a lick...One of these "powerhouses" is playing Mercer this week for crying out loud...Win your games and you don't have to worry about it...Unfortunately for the SEC teams this year they ain't winning their games...Looks like they have a lot of mediocre teams in that conference and I don't believe any 3 loss team belongs in the playoff...You have to remember this is ESPN...This is business...The SEC is their business partner and they want 5 teams in and need to drive the narrative that the SEC is the best conference...Which it isn't this year...So now they are having a temper tantrum because things are shaking out right for them for this playoff...The spin and propaganda machine is still going to do all they can to try to convince you that a 3 loss team belongs in ahead of a 1 loss team...Pure lunacy...
I’m the only PSU fan on this forum that can look at things objectively and also won’t look at things through a pair of blue and white glasses and can tell you that we are definitely the most overrated team in the country. You guys like to betch about other teams being the beneficiaries of bias but can’t see it when we are the ones benefitting.
@southern-psu-fan There is no way we make it in with two losses unless that loss is in the B1G championship.

Me too Joe.
@psujoe i agree with you. I’ve said all year long we don’t get in with 2 losses.
If they drop Georgia to 12th we’d drop to 15 or further down. I’ve told y’all we can only lose 1 game to get in. Ohio St can lose 2 but we can’t
Homer, if we only lose 1 game we deserve to get in. As I’ve said the last few days, it isn’t Penn States fault that we don’t play Michigan and USC, Washington and a few others stink, that’s just the way it plays out sometimes just like this year would’ve been a good year to beat up on Michigan because they are average at best.
I never have thought we would get in with 2 losses does anybody on here still believe we will because there was a few of y’all that thought we would? These scumbag committee folk will never take a 2 loss Penn St teams over 2 loss SEC teams. Oregon, Michigan and Ohio St have that luxury but not us and the writing is on the wall with what happened in 2016 and it’s the same shit committee just different people voting.
Might be, PSU isn't any good. Might be, they are. Time will tell, enjoy the season.
@been-there-ii We gotta stud football team I’m thinking definitely top 7. Gotta get the the playoffs and make some noise. I honestly don’t care who we play I’m just wanting to get in. To win it all we have to win 3 games so it really doesn’t matter who we play first game. Our defense definitely gives us a chance. You gotta get in first.

If we lose two regular season games we don’t deserve to be in the playoff .
@psujoe what about other teams do they deserve to get in with 2 losses? Georgia and Alabama both have 2 losses
Just my opinion but since we still have opinions in the playoffs it would be better just to take the top 12 where the chips fall, that fall. Look at that top 12 but it will change in the next 3 weeks
Boise State's only loss is by 3 points to #1 Oregon. Leaving them out would be a crime, especially when Notre Dame lost to freaking Northern Illinois.Just my opinion but since we still have opinions in the playoffs it would be better just to take the top 12 where the chips fall, that fall. @roaminglion we use to take the top 2 just make it 12 and that would probably make everybody happy. 3 more games so things will change
I'm so confused, you always say you wanted conference champs... now you're saying just take random 12 teams and who cares about anything else?@roaminglion we use to take the top 2 just make it 12 and that would probably make everybody happy. 3 more games so things will change
@roaminglion I would rather figure out how to get 8 conferences and take 8 conference champs and end the season for all the other teams. But what we have now just take the top 12 and end the season for all other teams.

check out Paul Finebaum. He’s says it’s a travesty. Just scroll down to Paul Finebaum and crying Kirby 😂

if there’s a bunch of two loss teams vying for the last couple playoff spots then you have to look at SOS and we’re not going to win many of those battles. And put it this way if we lose to Minnesota, Purdue or Maryland we don’t deserve it
Dang 81, you were at Penn St in some of the greatest years ever for Penn St football. What’s your favorite game you attended? RIP has been to some awesome games
@psujoe how did the big 10 fair against OOC teams this year is one way I think should be looked at. It’s all about matchups too. We don’t matchup good against Ohio St but that doesn’t mean we don’t matchup good against Alabama because the Tide defense has taken a step back. The goal is to get in and see how we matchup against whoever we play.
