IMO not anymore, I get tired of him messing up because he doesn't know the rules changed 10 years ago. I wish he'd just stick to play by play, but often he riffs with his color guy and doesn't know what he's talking about.
@been-there-ii ..I knew ND had targeted Al for DC, and when all went quiet for two weeks, figured he had accepted, but prep for the SB precluded any announcement ..Other than getting a PSU guy, quite happy with the selection.....( Just kidding)
Al seems like a class guy, and living in Philly, I followed him at Temple, where he did a great job..He encountered a mess at Miami, and my understanding is that all the problems werent disclosed to him..In any event, I was somewhat surprised he was willing to go back to college after being in NFL,and a SB appearing team no less, but I guess the promotion to DC,and the added responsibility appealed to him..Good selection by Coach Freeman, with the added bonus of college head coaching experience,..
