Rumors continue to swirl that JF has secured another of his signing day surprises that he became famous for during his stint at Vanderbilt.  My sources are telling me Murrell has been locked up by Seider since early Nov. and he won't announce till next week.

Can he catch the ball out of the backfield?

How does he stack up against Sanders and Barkley in high school? How big is he and how fast? Thanks

Bank on it? That phrase went horribly awry for the guy saying it back in the spring. Especially when he said this virus was over and we would have full stadiums and normalcy in the fall. I hope you are right, we could use a RB in this class, but you may want to avoid catch phrases.

Please explain how a guy who has told everyone publicly that Penn state is one of his 2 choices is a "signing day surprise" 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

@lionbacker99. I agree but that’s what I expect  from James Franklin. Penn State is big boy football and to stay in the top 10 we need NFL caliber RB’s

185lbs usually doesn’t work out unless he’s a receiving back. We need RB’s that can break a tackle and IMO 185lbs ain’t going to get it done. I think Lee is 230lbs

Unfortunately, PSU’s top 2 RBs in this recruiting class are BOTH headed to Ohio State.

Another top option is probably headed to Michigan. It was an off year for PSU recruiting. They have some kids coming in that can play, including Clifford’s brother, but they missed out on some top talent. Hopefully, this RB comes in, puts in the time in the strength and conditioning program and is ready to contribute in 2022.

Maybe he becomes another Journey Brown, somewhat overlooked by other power schools but a hidden gem.

You read my mind. I really hope he is. Journey Brown turned into a really good RB after being largely overlooked as a recruit. 

@lionbacker99: LB, you seem to have a pretty good grasp on our recruiting front.  That's pretty cool!!!  Keep up the good work and dont be shy about reporting in on a regular basis.

I’m not crazy about 185lbs RB’s anyway plus I think we have some good RB’s we just can’t miss out on a good RB next year. They might be some good RB’s in the portal?
