This says everything you need to know about Matt Campbell as a man, not just a football coach. The AD is obviously upset to lose such a high quality individual.
This and the quickness at which they filled the HC position at Iowa State also tells me he knew Penn State was a job Matt would leave for if offered. I didn't know he is from eastern Ohio and has a lot of family there.

And for another coach to move into ISU so quickly, tells me that the AD is solid and the program is solid, imo.
I have done some more research on this guy...As I said in an earlier post I was less then enthusiastic when I heard he was the hire...After doing some homework and becoming more informed I believe we could have done a hell of a lot worse and I don't think we could have done much better...i am quite excited to have this guy heading the program...Retaining Terry was a great first move and that says a lot about this guy...Now lets see if this guy can put together a roster and win the big games...
