I just read the Iowa kicker got a scholarship after kicking the game winning FG. The kid has been a walk-on since 2016 so I’m assuming he’s paying to go to school at Iowa so Does the scholarship pay what he’s owes or does it pay for what schooling he does going forward?
Feel good story. Frentz may be the best coach in the country. Generally he doesn’t get a lot of “high star” kids but each year his team is competitive with the best.
He’s a really good coach and builds strong teams on the OL and DL and he usually has a QB that doesn’t beat him unless they’re playing teams that just have way more talent than he does. IMO he would’ve made a better NFL coach but I’m glad he stayed in college because he made college football better. He’s a dang good coach and Iowa is very fortunate to have him.
