I always laugh when they tell me a teams pass defense or rush defense ranking. Who did they play and how did they do against the real teams. I'm sure they did well against MD after MD gave the game away and they had to throw.
What is clear is that Iowa's Turn Over ratio is not sustainable. Maybe Pickle said it on his review. I think we win so long as we are only -1 in turnovers. Backs need to hold the ball, receivers need to catch the ball and Cliff can not complete passes to guys in black. It suspect a conservative low scoring game that would make JoePa proud.

I'm sure others asked the same about Penn State. Who did they play? With that being said Iowa was a 3 point favorite against Maryland and look what Iowa did. Dismantled them. All eyes across the country will be watching this game. Going to be interesting.

If you watch Iowa and some of their highlights their defense plays deep. They like to keep their safties in a zone and they come back to their receivers waiting for the pick.
@forum-titan Come on Forum, did you watch the MD Game. How many turnovers? Brainless voters look at the score but if you do some work and look at turnovers and penalties in the first half you quickly see that MD gave the game away. MD made a few mistakes and it snow balled, then they gave up on the run and became one dimensional. Once Iowa got up the DB's didn't worry as much about getting burned. Tulla was in melt down mode. Yes, Iowa plays a zone, maybe a soft zone, no different than any other year. Probably similar to the zone PSU fans hated when a good QB picked us apart. My point wasn't so much the schedule, and even though Wisky has not been great they are still a tougher 1st game than 95% of other teams played. My point was that week after week I see that Directional State U has a top pass defense allowing <70 yards per game. The brainless say 'wow a defense rated above GA', but we know the talkers have to talk, the trolls have to troll and we look at who they played. Another meaningless statistic.
Iowa is Iowa, they will not beat themselves, they will execute, they are a known quantity. If both PSU and Iowa execute to their ability PSU will win. If we show up in ugly Terp uniforms they will easily win. The game is PSU's offense against the Iowa Defense. I'll ask again, who is the number 2 team in the B10 West? They have an easy conference schedule. We can lose to Iowa once, just not the second time we play them this year :-).
