in your 4 years would you want to:
A. Go 10-2 every year with a NY6 bowl
B. Go 8-4 for 3 years with mediocre bowl; in year 4 go 12-0 with a trip to the CFP*
* 4 team playoff
While both are good, I'd choose B without hesitation. Other than the CFP, it shows the team worked hard and got better in year 4.

Roam, I ask the question because a friend of mine was a local stock car racer. He won a couple of championships and many, many races. He always said he would give the championships and all the races just to start the Daytona 500. He said just to be involved in the history and pagentry of the pinnacle of his sport would be his greatest memory, even if he "wrecked on the first turn".
It’s just about that time baby to put an azz kicking on Indiana! Let’s go Penn State
@brownale I feel like Daytona still means something, while the traditional bowls really don't anymore. Just feel like 2nd prize to me if you know what I mean.
30 years ago I'd equate Daytona to the Rose Bowl, but not anymore. IMO
I would want Drew Allar to start the next 3 games to prepare him for next year so PSU could contend for the Big 10 title.
I don't think that will happen. He'll get a lot of playing time, but if healthy, Cliff will start. Allar's time is next year. Really would like CV to get some meaningful pt in the upcoming games. Allar is the man, but we'll need a good backup in case he goes down.
I remember when we used to say that about the Rose Bowl, the Granddaddy of Them All!
Has anyone here been to a game at the Rose Bowl?
