So, let's assume
- USC loses 1 of their last 2 games
- LSU goes down to Georgia in the SEC Championship
- Michigan and TCU win their conferences
In that case, this is what the possibilities would look like:
- Peach - #1 Georgia vs. #4 Ohio State
- Fiesta - #2 Michigan vs. #3 TCU
- Rose - Penn State (Big Ten tie-in) vs. Whoever wins the Pac 12 (Pac 12 tie-in)
- Cotton - USC/Washington/Oregon/Tennessee (At large bid) vs. Tulane (Group of 5 tie-in)
- Sugar - LSU/Alabama (SEC tie-in) vs. Kansas State (Big 12 bid)
- Orange - LSU/Alabama/Notre Dame (SEC/Big Ten/ND tie-in) vs. Whoever wins the ACC (ACC tie-in)
The SEC bid is a wierd one, with LSU having 3 losses if they go down and Alabama still there with two. I think they'd both get a bid somewhere, unless ND crashes that party which could happen. We'd be a lock for the Rose as OSU and Michigan would both go to the CFP should LSU and USC lose. Kansas State gets the auto bid for the Big 12 since TCU goes to the playoff, and the Pac 12 & ACC get auto bids to their games too.
Man... I REALLY wish we had those last 9 minutes back. We'd be sitting at #5 right now ahead of LSU and just hoping USC lost. Unfortunatly Ohio State got us yet again.
We’ll be better at QB next year and that should fix winning our fair share against Ohio St and Michigan. Clifford is only good enough to tease us on gettin in the playoffs. Clifford tries like heck he’s just not a top 5 QB with us having to play Michigan and Ohio State every year. If we played in the PAC, big 12 and ACC he’d be good enough. We got 10 wins right where I thought we would be and it’s been a good season. Let’s get that bowl win to top this season off with 11-2. Let’s go Penn State baby
Tennessee is killing Vanderbilt so I guess we can forget about jumping ahead of Tennessee. Let us play Tennessee in a bowl game I’ll take that in a minute. 2 top 10 teams

Not so sure about that, we were close to them and the way LSU is losing now to A&M it's dropping so SEC stock
