The NCAA is reportedly proposing a significant change in its eligibility rules...
▫️5-Year Clock Starting At Age 19 or HS Graduation
▫️No Redshirts, Waivers Or Extensions
▫️Limited Exceptions (Military, Maternity, Religious Missions)
If passed, the new NCAA eligibility rules could be implemented as early as the 2026 season

Me too! Is this the same rules executive order Trump did which I’m pretty sure was what Saban told him would be a good idea?
I'll be on my death bed before they get control of this craziness.
Nice of them to include loopholes in the rule so those that don’t feel like abiding have a way around it.
@psujoe what loophole is that Homer?
I wouldn't call military service, a mission, or maternity leave a loophole. LOL

I know you’re from freaky land and probably don’t believe me but…. MEN CAN’T GET PREGNANT !! And religious missions can wait till after football.
The only one of the 3 that would be 100 percent legit iis military. The other two will be used as ways to sidestep the rule.
Is this your fantasy reality again? LOL you need to get a grip and stop inviting things to make yourself feel like you are winning an arguement. No one said or even mentioned men getting pregnant... or did you forget that half the athletes in college are women? My lord.I wouldn't call military service, a mission, or maternity leave a loophole. LOL

Oh yeah.. and I can see it now! Planned missions to Africa so Johnny can play football 2 years later. Such an advantage.
@roaminglion MY LORD !! if you are as smart as you try to tell us on a daily basis I’m sure you understood that I was referring only to football so women being 50 percent of the athletes argument is irrelevant.
Im sure where you’re from out in the land of freaks and weirdos there are some he/she or she/he mentally ill things trying to play NCAA football but not around here.
Yeah okay. You were referring to the possibility of football players that will say they are pregnant to create a loophole. Yeah okay.@roaminglion MY LORD !! if you are as smart as you try to tell us on a daily basis I’m sure you understood that I was referring only to football so women being 50 percent of the argument is irrelevant.

Sure thing. We all believe you, what a big problem it will be.
I also see you are still in fantasy land

PATERNITY is what I am referring to and yes it will become an issue.
But it is only a matter of time till some mentally ill left coast freak guy claims to be prego.
Sure thing. Like the guy from Texas who went to college in PA to swim as a girl? But sure... "left coast"Yeah okay. Joe, Im gonna push back a little bit on this one. I had a teammate in college named Matt Brown that served a two year mission for the Latter Day Saint Church. I believe he may be the only returning missionary to ever win a wrestling championship in Div1.
Anyway, I asked him the very same question you brought up. "why not serve your mission after your playing days are up"? His response was the Church asks single young men to serve two years when they turn 18. The thinking behind it is if they do it right out of HS they arent as likely to get married. If they went to college it would be more likely they'd meet a girl and fall in love and thus not have a desire to serve a mission.
I'm not debating whether that's right or wrong and my intention isnt to start a religious debate on a football forum. I just wanted to shed a little light on why they do what they do. I will say this, off the mat he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet but on the mat he was a flat out monster.
Hope you and all the guys are doing well
THEKID.
I remember that dude kid. He had a close match in the finals but got the win. Dude was a BA. Hope everything is good up that way buddy.
Me just trying to connect the dots here. Can’t let a nickel hold up a dollar and we can’t let the 1 or 2 that might get hurt by rules keep from having 500 dudes taking advantage of the rules. Close all loopholes. Everything set in stone and strictly followed. Just my opinion though
