there is a season at all! My wife really made a good point to me Saturday night.  We need to look at this season as a weekly scrimmage between teams and not so much as who is the best team in the country.  As we get more and more into this season, we will most likely see more players sitting out who tested positive and more games cancelled or postponed.   And based on what is going on right now, we will be lucky if this season actually finishes.  Clemson was not the same team w/o TL at QB against BC and now he is out against ND.  If Fields would happen to test positive, Ohio State would be vulnerable.  Parson's would probably be playing if it wasn't for this virus and our defense would be playing much better.  Luketa got disqualified against IU and sat out the first half against Ohio State.  He is not the caliber Parson is and look at the difference he made when he came back in the second half against Ohio State...and when he went out against IU.

I think we have some real concerns at PSU this year, but I don't think we can really consider this a season like others.  I am totally convinced if we had the four OCC games, this team would be playing much better.  We saw a different team in the second half in both of the first two games.  They still made mistakes, but they played better as a unit.  I expect to see a real good performance this weekend against MD and then against Nebraska.  If they get clicking I agree with Southern they can win out.

So, like me wife said, take your lickings and move on.  This is a great chance to get some kids playing time and even though they may crown a NC this year, that doesn't necessarily mean the best team won it.  If key players are unavailable, how can you really say one team is better than another.   Let's not forget that Trace started out 0-2 and then the Lion's came alive and should have been in the playoffs.  The playoffs are out for PSU this year, but there is no reason they can't finish strong and get a decent bowl game....if the season doesn't come to abrupt end!

GO STATE!

I have been saying the same thing. Whoever wins any championships this year should have an asterisk after their name.
