In his press conference last night he mentioned doing the little things in order to become an elite program and that made perfect sense to me. It's the same philosophy that Cael Sanderson uses in the wrestling room. Dont settle for good or great, go for being the best. If you settle for B's and dont strive for A's in your classes you're selling yourself short. We were always taught to take care of the little things because they add up to big things. Know your opponents strengths and weaknesses. Every member of that team has to be striving for the same goal or otherwise they'll come up short. Learn where every player on the defense is suppose to be and what their supposed to do on each formation and good things will happen. On offense, know the role of each of your teammates and learn their strengths and weaknesses so you're not surprised by anything.
Sure was was saddened by last nite's outcome but man guys.......cant you see the big picture?? We're almost there. Our boys left it all out on the field and there are guys on this forum that are trashing them and the coaching staff. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Im guessing there are many of you that never competed in anything at this level yet there are a select few on here that cast stones. Yet, when we do make it to that elite level; and make no mistake about it we will, you'll be the first to jump back on the bandwagon.
Sorry Tsuga's alter ego but the man ain't taking us there.
rah rah rah says JF.
Old Yeller, Didn't you also once say that "this game is Pitt's to lose", "Penn State 63 App State 6"?? Yeah, I think I'll take my chances on CJF.
BTW......Burlington VT is still 6 hours away from my grandfather's place. Take route 9 to Brattleboro, and get on 91 north to 302 to route 2. Route 2 will take you right to the town of Farmington, Maine. Drop him a line when you get there. Enjoy the ride up, its very scenic this time of year and you may miss it on the way home due to swollen eyes. In fact, you'd better have someone come with you as you may be unable to drive all together. Put up or shut up Old Yeller.
I'm really beginning to think that "Old Yeller" is actually a 12 year old pimply face kid tapping out comments from his mother's computer! If that is the case, it may be difficult to make that trip to Maine without his mother's assistance!
