Franklin needs to do a lot of soul searching or somebody needs to talk to him like a dutch uncle and tell him what it is.  The way he is operating just isn't getting it done.  He needs to swallow his pride and make some fundamental changes in his approach and let his coaches coach.  Recruit for position needs and not for "stars".  And for the love of pete ditch the 1-0 mantra and focus on continuous improvement.

Somebody with some deep pockets will probably have to come up with a lot of money because like I’ve said the last 6 weeks, this chit usually gets worse it hardly ever gets better. We are Nebraska right now with much better players we find to many ways to lose instead of finding a way to win and it’s been a pattern the last 2 years. Fudge the pandemic other teams faced the same crap. I’m still a James Franklin fan I just believe his time at Penn St should’ve been over after this year. Sometimes you just need a new start and both Penn St and Franklin needed one. Academics are very important but I don’t believe the head coach can hang his head on that in todays college football, you have to win football games.

Not a QB problem, not a RB problem.  With the O-line and running game we'd have been better off with a full back that could block and catch.

The team and program is a storied program that is in dismay due to poor leadership. It really is that easy of an observation.

My $.02, the coach did not miss the field goal or miss the extra point; the coach did not have 2 fumbles; he did make 2 questionable 4th down calls, he did not  call enough passing plays.

You know the old adage, "You think you have it bad until..." Syrexcuse is bringing Dino Babers back for his 7th year as head coach. SU has had one, count 'em, ONE, winning season in the past 6 seasons. One of those 5 losing seasons, was a one win season. Less than two weeks ago Babers said he was happy with the where the team was at. Franklin may not be the best, but he certainly isn't the worst.

Sometimes it may be true that what you have is the best it gets.

Its really a shame to see what has happend to the once proud Syracuse football program. I was there just 2 years ago and the Carrier Dome looks old and dilapidated and I'm guessing their other facilities are in the same condition. It doesn't look like the school has any interest in football.

The Carrier Dome is getting a huge renovation I believe. I think they started a year ago, so they may be in the middle of it... but last I heard a new roof and about $125 million in upgrades.

Yep, new roof went on this summer. No longer the "Carrier Dome", although I believe there was some legal issues around that. They had some pretty good years in my memory. Visiting teams usually have a tough time playing in that dome for some reason. For the most part, I remember Syr being our homecoming game and generally a W.

Not sure how many kids are going to sign to play there this year. Babers looks to be heading toward the door and he's got a couple coaching positions he needs to fill, quickly.
