Although the game isn't over - these Bearcats are proving to the world that they are real! Many on here when discussing who should have made the top 4 would diss certain teams such as Cincy, Coastal, etc ... I'm sure this sort of dialog was happening all over the country on these fan forum sites and they must have read some of the comments. I hope they go on and defeat GA - only makes football better when when of the Big Dawgs (no pun intended) as Southern calls em, goes down.
I did not hear that GA was missing so many players - def. makes a difference.
I just read a few articles, it's anywhere between 5-10 starters. Hard to get a true number apparently, as each article is slightly different. As the game got closer the number in the articles seemed to rise.
That said, even Georgia's backups are 4 star guys... but it does make some difference.
@roaminglion. Georgia is also the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC this year. Personally I hope the dawgs go down
@roaminglion How many starters was Cinncy missing? I'd bet they're not 100 percent either.

None, from what I read. No opt outs or injuries from the previous game
Cinncy put up a good fight but in the end, they just couldnt hang with the big dawgs as SPF would say. In my opinion, they pretty much verified that they werent ready for prime time.
Nonsense... Cincy lost their all conference left tackle to a targeting penalty... Yes.. Targeting... Which was a bullcrap call... Their offense wasn't the same... Cincy was the more physical, athletic and better team... They were also without their best running back.... You really don't think Cincy or Indiana wouldn't have given Bama a better game? Northwestern put it to Auburn today as well... Amazing all the excuses thrown around when the SEC gets exposed... Propaganda is a strong thing...

FD, he lowered his head after the play and hit him with the crown of his helmet. That's targeting 101
Also, it's kinda funny you would say they would have won if that didn’t happen considering they were losing at the time.
#1 Cincy was winning big when that kid got disqualified in the first half... #2 the kid never made contact with the other player with his helmet nor did he even make contact with the other players head... The kid was the best lineman on their team and was an all conference left tackle... Their offense was never the same after his disqualification... Cincy was the better team... The officiating was a disgrace HOWEVER it was quite obvious that Cincinnati has the talent to compete with anybody and they certainly deserved to be in the playoffs and without a doubt would have given Bama a better game than Notre Dame did...

Cincy wasn't winning big when the kid was ejected, they were down 10-7. They took the lead with :06 seconds left in the half AFTER he was ejected, and then went up 21-10 in the 3rd quarter. That's a fact, sorry but you're wrong about that.
I do agree that Cincy showed they could hang and deserved a shot though, with an 8 team playoff they would have got one too.
There can be no argument that losing that kid to a bullshit call changed the outcome of the game... The replacement was exploited be Georgia in the 3rd and 4th quarter and as a result they lost the ballgame... I do agree with your assessment that they can compete with anybody... Either Cincinnati or Indiana should have been the 4th team... I will not comment on this any further... I invite the forum to check the tape on that call and feel free to comment... My strong opinion is it was a terrible call... The officiating in that game was a disgrace and Cincinnati wins that game if he is in there... Happy New Year to you Roam and to the forum... I love the banter...

"There can be no argument that losing that kid to a bullshit call changed the outcome of the game"
They were LOSING when he was ejected. They scored 14 points without him in the game, and only 7 with him in the game. These are facts.
Regardless of targeting, the kid was an idiot for taking such an unprevoked cheap shot. Even his teammate threw up his hands and couldn't believe he was so stupid right when it happened.
Hello,
JoeMastenIsStillTheOnlyForumRegularToPredictOSUBeatsClemson.
Just sayin.
Prognosticator
@the-funeral-director: I cant agree with Cincinnati or Indiana being in the playoffs this year. I honestly think they got it right this year. I agree with what Roam said about OSU having an advantage with the way their schedule played out this year. Anyone that has competed at the collegiate level knows how your body wears out by the end of the year.
@thepakid. I think FD is frustrated just like the rest of us are with the BS that goes on with the favoritism that some teams get. I agree they mostly got it right i would’ve put A&M in over ND but regardless them 2 teams are probably about equal. We need a 8 team playoff that would fix some of the problems. I’m still not convinced they’d put teams like Indiana or Cincinnati in if it was 8 it would need to be 16 to get them teams in.
I believe Iowa State is a team on the rise they’ve got a lot better.
@southern-psu-fan: No doubt we're all frustrated. There were many of us on here that didnt think OSU should have made it in the first place due to their shortened season. I think they got it right and that's saying a lot because of my utter dislike for OSU. By this time of year players are dinged up, sore, and just plain tired. OSU didnt have a full schedule and it appeared to e that they were able to reap the benefits of that. I dont want to take anything away from their win, as they seized the day and beat the defending national champs. There are also those who didnt think a 1 loss Clemson team should have been there. How can you justify not having the defending champion there after they avenged their one loss in the ACC championship game?? Conversely, how can you keep ND out of the dance when they beat the national champ??
I agree that we need to go to an 8 team playoff but as of right now, we have 4 and in my opinion, they got it right this year.
LSU won the NC last year but I know exactly what you’re saying because Clemson has won 2 nc’s the last 5 years and has played for a couple more. Stars matter in recruiting I don’t care what anybody says lol
