Im starting to think Pat’s plan was to shit can JF and then figure it out. As Tsuga mentioned, the program had to figure out what they had to payout with the firing before they could move forward. Imo, that’s lime going out to buy a house without knowing your budget and then settling for what you can get (??). My bet is that TS became the test case, and is now the out to buy another year if need be.
Trading JF for another like JF doesn’t make sense; but Im just another spectator that’s sitting in the nosebleed seats.

@psujoe I read a dude from espn saying Fitzgerald but the Josh pate Dude is talking up Chesney. I’m all for Fitz he’s actually my second pick but I’ll be just as happy if it’s Fitz. I don’t know anything about Chesney.
I am going to guess the outlier here is Brian Daboll...If it is somebody we haven't mentioned the only 2 names that come to my mind are Al Golden and Brian Daboll...I am going to bet it is Daboll if it ain't one of the guys we have mentioned...There has been some faint banter up here in New York that Daboll has talked to someone about the Penn State opening...I initially gave no credence to it but now I am beginning to wonder if there is some fire where that smoke is...

Daboll was the OC at Alabama under Tricky Nicky for the 2017 season and 2018 national championship win over Georgia...He has done a great job everywhere but with the Giants and part of that was the idiot GM's he had over him...
I read something this morning that highlighted Draboll as being in the right place at the right time with the right QB and that he aint all that when u look at his full body of work. Some forum thread with a cup of Joe.

@roaminglion Cignetti has been around a while and has lots of experience coaching the heavyweights so it’s a different situation. If Penn St missed on this dude it will be a while assuming they hire him.
Hearing rumours Chesney will be announced as PSU coach on Sunday. Hope it’s true, he’s the one l want.
