Looks like things are starting to open up.  I'm wondering if any restrictions will be put in place for September. Reduced seating at college venues. I sure hope not. Anyway,  I hope high school football isn't affected.  I believe ESPN is starting to play some classic games.  4 more months!

I wish I was as optimistic as u guys are but I am hearing a different tune. We are starting to see the numbers fall here but it's really gonna be another 6weeks til this is somewhat under control and we can catch up with everything... I am being told by every medical expert I speak to up here that this fall is gonna be worse than what we have been through thus far... I know that the medical examiner here isn't breaking down the tents as they expect it to erupt again this fall... My own personal opinion after watching how this virus works and the time frames and such is that the more rural parts of the country are gonna feel it but it is gonna take longer to cycle out to them... I have no doubts in my mind that this virus will make its way through every part of the country... I am gonna say one final thing... This virus isn't a hoax, it's not the regular flu or even a bad flu... It's not political and shouldn't be politicized in any way shape or form... This is a devistating virus that is absolutely vicious... I urge all of u to take precautions, protect urselves and ur families... Take this seriously... The numbers here in NYC and the surrounding metropolitan area are nothing short of catastrophic... Sadly I believe the rest of the country is going to have to face what we face here... Prepare urselves accordingly... I pray for all of u and ur families that u are safe and survive this thing...

My wife wants a bowflex or treadmill. Glad to see you are staying in shape.  Way to go! Stick with it. I was always in decent shape but my Doctor said to lose 15 pounds,  and I did. From landscaping work,  digging,  hauling dirt away, laying block, cutting trees, loading trees on truck. At first I dreaded it, dragged my feet and now I'm enjoying it. Many more projects to come. Hard work pays off.  Not trying to brag, but stick with it Southern.

I am running 9 miles a week and started Karatee 3 months ago.  HOWEVER, I haven't lost a dang pound and I need to drop 30.  I would blame it on working from home now, but I haven't gained a pound in 8 weeks.  Back in my wrestling days, I would cut 5 pounds overnight and never blink to make weight.  Heck, I was lightweight back then and I would have to cut 2 lbs right now to make 185lbs. That's the funny thing about wrestlers.  We had losing weight down to an art, we just never learned how to eat healthy and maintain that lifestyle...some of us anyhow!

Deer bologna and cooper cheese, peanut butter cups and chips....my downfall!!! LOL

i don’t think it’s a hoax and I agree with you on how contagious this virus is but I’m thinking pretty much everybody has been exposed to it and I believe you either got sick or you didn’t  . It’s all over this country and if it’s as contagious as the experts say then everybody has been exposed. Make no mistake now FD I still do what the experts say.

What I've been told,  eat what you wish sparingly as long as you burn it.  I try to stay away from the garbage food but still eat it on occasion.  All the preservatives make you feel like crap.  What style karate? Okinawan?

Honestly,  we can only assume.  Maybe someday it will come out.  I feel this virus was engineered.

I think what I am taking is called Kihon Kata.  It is a beginner course and I am doing it with my daughter.  We just started session II, so hopeully we can earn our first belt at the end.   I am trying to learn one new thing every year.  Last year it was throwing a cast net.  Up next is playing drums.  So far, I have mastered none!! LOL

Got up early to make 5 pancakes with warm maple syrup, 6 pieces of smoked bacon, 3 eggs over easy, and 3 slices of buttered rye toast. Washed everything down with a tall glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a couple of cups of hot black coffee. I was still hungry so I had a piece of cherry pie that my wife made for dinner the night before.

Definitely worth getting up early for!

I've always eaten good and ran/walk or bike all the time.  I too put on a couple pounds every year to where it really added up.  I decided enough was enough this March and gave up drinking for lent.  I lost so many inches and pounds that I kept it up.  (ten weeks now) I don't check my weight, but I'm down 4 belt loops and blood pressure is better than in my whole life.  Blood work coming up soon and I can't wait to see the results of that.  If you truly want to lose weight, give up the booze for a few months.  Just do some searches benefits of not drinking for xxx, and see all the positive results people post for motivation.  For me, the real weight loss started after about four weeks.  Also, there is a  big trend in England for a dry January that people do and post their results.  I read them for motivation when I'm tempted, which oddly enough, isn't too often anymore.  I'm feeling great.

I enjoyed it while I can . It got so expensive and I couldn't afford it at the time.  Between that and the volunteer work,  just couldn't make the time. Instructor was excellent.  Learned lots about yourself and street survival skills.
