In 2017 the Big Ten had 3 teams in the top 6 in week 7. Even after we lost to Ohio State, we stayed in the top 7 with Wisconsin and Ohio State.

3 Big Ten Teams, the SEC only had two. Again... you are wrong.

I say screw the rankings at this point. We just need to worry about winning.

And in 2017 who were the 4 teams in the playoffs? Every excuse in the book is used to put their sacred cows in...Wasn't that the year Bama was in the playoff and didn't even play in their conference championship game? yeah that's right...

Not to ignore you Hawaii I agree with you 100% PSU needs to win every game and convincingly...They need to start with a statement win tonight...

Worst case for the ESPN/SEC Cartel is if PSU, OSU, WIS all end with 1 loss.  In which case they will allow the winner of the conference in.  But if the same happens in the SEC they will want 2 teams in.

After this game Georgia may stay ahead of us, but it will be close. Beat Michigan next week and we hop all one loss teams including ND.

I said they would be. . They SHOULDN'T be but they will be... What is a bad loss for these sacred cows? They lost AT HOME to a team that was 2-3...And we are debating if they should be ranked ahead of an undefeated team who won a tough road game in one of the most hostile environments in college football against a top 20 team with one of the best defenses in the country...seriously....WHY?! That's my question...why aren't they penalized for losing a game like that? This is why I call the whole thing a farce.. .

I don’t think so I believe we will be ranked in front of Georgia especially since they lost at home to an unranked team. We should be 6th or 7th

I hope so, regardless if we win the next 2 games we will be no lower than #6 in the first CFP rankings.

Rather is fair or not the SEC has respect when the big 10 doesn’t. Our big 10 champion has been left out of the playoffs the last 3 years which is BS. That’s why I say give up the home game and travel anywhere and beat some big dawgs on the road like the great Bobby Bowdon did and we’ll get respect or go undefeated which is very hard to do. We do have James Franklin so there’s a good chance we can. It’s all about respect and the big 10 doesn’t have it.

Nothing to do with respect. Point blank it came down to Ohio State getting destroyed by unranked teams in 2017 & 2018.

Good points FD, I am just happy to come away with a win tonight. Our defense still seems very legit and the offense has so much talent. We just need to keep winning .

SEC East lost 2 big games yesterday.  Only way for SEC East team to get in is to have 1 loss and win the SEC championship.   Then the cartel can push a one loss SEC west team.  I suppose they can push for two west teams if one wins the SEC championship they will take a second 1 loss west team.  

Same argument will not apply to B10.

There never was a set formula Southern, I don't know why you keep saying something about formulas.

The CFP never had an official formula for how they pick teams. The closest they ever had to that was giving people a list of things that they would consider.

They said winning head to head and conference championships was the most important thing they will judge by and they didn’t do either in 2016 they’re no better than the fake AP and coaches polls it’s all fixed on who they want not who deserves it. David Jones on PennLive said the committee will never let a team like UCF in the playoffs so that tells you right there they decide who gets in.
