Good game.
I would like to see a RB that has flat out speed with power.
I was impressed with Lee. I'd like to see him get a bit more playing time, establish a rhythm, and see what he can do.
The OL shouldn't take all of the blame for our running game woes. There were times when the RB missed the hole or failed to cut back and was stopped for a short gain. They should take most, but not all the blame.
Yeah I think all played well but you can see, IMO, there is a lack speed and power in the RBs, meaning the RB has a combination of both; not being harsh, just saying there isn't that elite level of RB, at this point. And when I reference speed, I mean that second gear that pops in and when you see it, you think, holy chit! Damn, Barkley spoiled the hell out of what you want for an RB, lol.
The running backs need to be limited to one cut and hit the hole...The OLine needs to stop missing assignments and it's that simple...Every play one of them is all alone wondering around looking for somebody to hit...They need to start charging these guys admission for watching the game...These delayed running plays ain't working either...There timing is all off...This needs to be fixed this week or they are in big trouble with Iowa...
@been-there-ii: I hear ya there buddy. I did see him wrap the ball up a couple of times before being hit.
Also noticed that when he wasn't getting the ball, he wouldn't put his mouthpiece in. When his mouthpiece was in, he got the handoff.
Saw that on more than one occasion. If these tired old eyes saw that, I'm sure an opposing DC will pick that up too.
O Line needs to move people out, nothing fancy, just block and push. TE's need to block better and seal the edge. RB's need to stop dancing so much and just hit the hole (or crease) and run over some people.

In all seriousness, if that is his tell tale sign, I'd hope one of our coaches would pick it up but, would be nice if someone could get that message to the inside.
The truth is the dress rehearsals are over...The show begins this Saturday and if this OLine and running game doesn't improve drastically it is going to be a one night performance and the show will be over...They are going to need to be able to run the football enough to keep them honest...Iowa lives and dies on the turnover so it is also imperative that Penn State protects the football...Clifford is going to need to be sharp and make good decisions with regard to protecting the football...Penn State needs to win the turnover battle Saturday...
Absolutely, FD. It's put up or shut up time.
