@psu61 i just don’t see any HC coach in the playoffs that will leave for Penn St. if Hartline is the man he should’ve done made the move that’s where im at because I believe that’s who our next HC will be. We will see what happens.
Well Franklin sucked at that so what's your point? Seems like Deboer can handle Georgia and other top 10 teams just fine. 8-3 in his last eleven games vs the top 10. Franklin could even get half those wins in 12 years@roaminglion beating Oregon ain’t the same as having to deal with Ohio State and Michigan every year.
@roaminglion that’s true but if DeBeor can’t get it done at Alabama having the best players can he get it done to beat Michigan and Ohio State at Penn St not having the best players? IMO his road has been easier than James Franklins because Franklin had Ohio St every year and Michigan most years.
Franklin's problem was himself only.
He had teams that could beat OSU and MICH but either clusterfucked the moment with bad game management and/or not playing the best players.
Also his signature wins at Vandy came at a time when those signature teams sucked.
Dude did a solid in getting PSU turned at a horrible time, but he hit his Peter principal around 2017 when it came to big games going forward. He was okay with shooting does from the stand but when the 'big' buck came into range, buck fever got in his head and he couldn't shake it off; guess it could also be referred to as having a case of the 'big game mental yips'.
