I’m not surprised he had a great coach and teacher the greatest of all time Joe Paterno. He’s just one of thousands that joe helped out through the years. Maybe hundreds of thousands because there’s 5 in my house.
That is very cool Sky. I had Marketing classes with him back in the day with the legendary Mickey Bernstein. Also I would see him at various trade functions when he had interest in food companies.
Franco was always a stand up guy. It was a shame how the haters belittled him for defending JoePa.
One of my favorite stories is when Paterno was asked to compare Franco and Lydell Mitchell. He said they were both great backs but they were different in that if he asked Mitchell to run through a brick wall, Lydell would say "OK coach, let's go". If he asked Harris to run through a brick wall, Franco would pause, walk over to the wall and count the bricks, come back and say "OK coach, let's go".
