Just curious to see what people think...

Do people like the format of clicking into each thread, or having one long scroll page with replies underneath (like PennLive)

I'm curious to know what people think, and I'm sure craven wouldn't mind as well.  That said, great job getting this up craven, it's nice to have a place where the same people we all know can continue to talk.

I like one long scroll, it’s a little easier for me

I agree with Southern, one long scroll works best, with the newest post appearing at top of page, rather than the bottom.

I'm ok with it either way. We just gotta get used to it. Besides, who wants to be known as the guy going to an orgy an bitching about the chip dip?

I am a fan of topics, but open to a long running thread.  Most sports forms use topics.   It just takes a little getting used t0.

I appreciate the constructive criticism.  I'd encourage everyone to use the site for a week or so before forming any strong opinions.  Change is hard to get used to, especially after using something for so long.

Who knows, after a week or so maybe those opinions will change. If not, I will see what I can do to continue to improve the site when I have time to do so.

Thanks, Roam. I appreciate the feedback and you starting this topic!

You know that certain posters form opinions with little or no basis. Using the current format does allow for keeping the conversation on point (to an extent).

The only forum I’ve ever been on is PennLive so I’m sure I’ll get use to it the more I use it caven.

I vote for clicking into each thread which makes it easier to skip over things you don't want to read about and also keeps one topic from dominating the main page. Also nice that when each thread is listed individually it shows how many replies it has and when the last comment was made.

Glad people are giving their honest feedback, I'm open to either but wanted to make sure people liked the site.

I like the forum topics design! The only change I would make is having the newest post on top instead of on the bottom. Also, what about a "dislike" button?

I'm curious Cave if you've had to swing the ban hammer yet???   Are you the only moderator at this point, and if so, are you recruiting?

Give us all a little more time to  get used to the new format... it's hard to overcome bias built up over so many years.

Are the newest posts now showing up at the bottom, or is my mind still fuzzy from last night?  EDIT:  I checked and the newest post is now on page two?
