Saban took over MSU who had just gone through sanctions. He also took over Alabama after they got hit with sanctions. He was not there when they were hit with sanctions

@the-funeral-director you do know Alabama was in a lot of trouble even the goat Joe Paterno was against shutting down Alabama football and if I remember correctly he told the ncaa not to shut down the football program. I was in Alabama at the time and was reading it in the paper. It’s just not Alabama he turned around LSU and Michigan St both stunk and look at the man’s track record at all 3 schools, it’s unbelievable what he did.
He actually did a pretty good job in Miami for the very short time he was there.

If he did it, fine. Whatever. I don't think the NCAA was hiding anything because some random coach at Michigan State, or LSU was winning games. He wasn't "Nick Saban" yet. He also wasn't "Nick Saban" at Alabama until 3 or 4 years later.
You want me to believe the NCAA was being selective, and sweeping everything he did under the rug for years before he won his championships at Alabama. Why would they? They didnt for Carroll, that's for sure.
