See link above. Decided to ignore our masochistic nature and NOT examine the PSU offense. Instead, we dove deep into the classic chess match between Penn State DC Tom Allen and Ohio State OC Chip Kelly - showing their initial hand, making adjustments, then making adjustments to those adjustments. Felt like each guy had their moments. Proper gap responsibility continues to be an issue (especially with Rojas)...wonder if he goes the Luketa/Carter route later in his career since he was a DE in high school.
New faces on defense and imo they’ve done pretty good but the LB’s are having a problem getting to the football.
IMO when the O'line line is clogging up the D'line, LBs are gonna have trouble, or LBs are out of position which can be fixed with coaching.
Gotta say, this guy does a great job with dissecting film. I'd hire him.
@psu61 out of position and not getting off blocks is what I see. #11 is better at LB’r but I guess Tom needs him at DE. #50 is making some noise he’s been playing good on the DL
Defense played well enough to win...Defense ain't this teams problem...Having an offense that can only muster 2 field goals in a whole game is the issue...
@the-funeral-director the defense has been good but the LB’s have struggled imo. I agree that the offense especially the QB is why we lost.
So, I have to ask...@the-funeral-director the defense has been good but the LB’s have struggled imo. I agree that the offense especially the QB is why we lost.
How is it the QB's fault? We were inside the 5 twice... First time he hit a WR in the hands which the WR dropped and turned into a INT, and the second time 3 straight runs and a frantic 4th down terrible playcall.
Somehow that's the QBs fault? Right. We score in both those cases, we win.
@roaminglion I haven’t seen any improvement in scoring with him at QB since he’s been the starter. This year is worse than last year. We are average on offense and that’s not good enough imo
Way to not answer my question@roaminglion I haven’t seen any improvement in scoring with him at QB since he’s been the starter. This year is worse than last year. We are average on offense and that’s not good enough imo
@roaminglion it’s the QB’s fault rather it’s fair or not fair…we struggle to score with DA playing QB.
Allar finished the game 12-of-20 for 146 yards with no touchdowns In the Ohio St game. you can’t beat top 5 teams playing like this. I don’t blame him for everything but these are the numbers regardless. 0-4 in big games roam that ain’t good enough.
No it's not. It is not the QBs fault that a WR drops a TD. It is not the QBs fault the coach calls the same run play 3 times in a row. How ridiculous@roaminglion it’s the QB’s fault rather it’s fair or not fair…we struggle to score with DA playing QB.
Yet McSorley beat Ohio State throwing 8-of-23 for 93 yards. But sure... credit him as the reason we beat OSU in 2016. What a joke.Allar finished the game 12-of-20 for 146 yards with no touchdowns In the Ohio St game. you can’t beat top 5 teams playing like this.
