...or lack thereof. See Link. Really enlightening video. One of his best imo. Shows that all the leaks in the run game were due to more than just getting bullied up front, or that our d-linemen are small and need to bulk up like Franklin suggested. Coach really lays out how Michigan outcoached and outschemed Franklin & Diaz and how ill-prepared our LBs were to handle Michigan's run game wrinkles. Really bad look, especially coming out of a bye.
Hope PSU coaches watch this, might learn something, lol.
We only had the ball 18 minutes and the score was 16-14 at the half. The defense just wore slap down for being on the field the whole game. They do need to get better absolutely but the offense caused most of the problems against Michigan.

I don’t agree with that at all.The defense was terrible from the start of this game and has been getting shredded all season.
Run defense? What run defense?
@psujoe the defense has done pretty good most of the year considering it had to be rebuilt. They definitely gotta get better especially the LB’s but if you can only get the ball for 18 minutes the whole game you’ll probably get killed on defense at the college and NFL. I’m disappointed too just saying the defense didn’t have a whole lot of help against Michigan and they got tired. 18 minutes of offense is unacceptable unless you’re that dominating on offense which ain’t the case for us. 10-2 remoh 😁
Just for the record, would a win over Ohio St make up for the loss against Michigan? I say yes. We got ‘em at home so you never know. Will 10-3 or 11-2 be ok? I’ll take 11-2 but 10-3 with no win against Michigan and Ohio St ain’t quite enough imo but it does build some confidence goi g into next year? We gotta lot of Penn St football left let’s enjoy it baby.
I'd love a win over OSU, but I don't think it would make up for the MU loss. I don't know if anything would - it was so pitiful! If any thing, it would make that loss hurt so much more after thinking what might have been.
@southern-psu-fan it works both ways the defense has to also get the other teams offense off the field to help its own offense stay in a rhythm. And no beating OSU at home will not make up for years of failures on the road in B1G games. I don’t have a short memory like some of you guys and won’t be happy till this clown of a coach is gone.
@psujoe: JF's ship has sailed. All it takes is one call......."Mr Kraft, Mr Pegula is holding on line one"
i dont mind losing but the product that he put on the field this past Saturday was putrid. The first play from scrimmage was Singleton to the right side.......the weakest side of a weak OL. I knew we were in trouble.
Carter gets burned on the EXACT same play that he got burned on by Northwestern. That is coaching.
I was certain we were going vanilla for the first 5 games and would open things up against Mich. Man was i ever wrong.
No, beating OSU doesn't make up for any loss at this point in JF career. Big deal, beat OSU and then go back to sucking; bottom line they are still sucking wind while the upset foe regroups and starts kicking ass again.

Yea I was also hoping we had gone vanilla after the Auburn game but apparently what we saw in the CMU and NW games really is what we are.
Man you going to have games where you can’t get out of your own way and if we beat Minnesota and Ohio st all is forgiven baby. Remember, we got killed by Michigan in 2016 and beat Ohio St then it was a lot of butt kicking after that. I do believe we need to win one of the games Ohio State or Michigan to have a great year.
