First, the ugly Santa sleeveless sweater is awesome. Second, does anyone else dislike the random QB shuffling as much as I do? Rewatching the two Levis throws, I didn't realize how big of a bullet we dodged -- both of those balls could have been interceptions. If Clifford is the guy (which it seems will be the case in 2021, even though a lot of people have a Portal QB wishlist), then let him be the guy! Stop yanking him in and out in the middle of series. Also, the 8-man protection calls with two receivers still getting wide open were shades of Ciarrocca's gameplan vs. Penn State in 2019 -- LOVED seeing that finally work.
Well the 2 QB thing is working so I say keep doing it until it doesn’t work we only have 2 games left and we need to ride it out and finish 5-5 having a 5 game winning streak carrying momentum over into next year. It’s ugly but we’re winning. We’ll work on opening the offense up next year. If you can’t open up your offense against Indiana, Nebraska and Maryland you can’t open it up against anybody because these 3 teams defense stink. Just win the game regardless of how ugly it is. Ugly wins are fine with me

Good god no! All he does is run the ball and opposing D's know what's coming when he is in. Keep him out of the last two games and feed the rock to Lee/Holmes and let Levis enter the portal.
Prognosticator

The 2 QB thing is not working, we've played the 3 worst teams in our division that past 3 weeks and aren't winning because of QBs.
@roaminglion. We’re winning because the QB’s ain’t beating us. I’m not saying I want to do this next year just finish out this year doing what we’ve been doing the last 3 weeks. The OC knows what he’s doing and he sees the same thing I do, move the chains and keep the defense on the sidelines and don’t turn the ball over. Rod Gilmore said keep running this until somebody stops it. I know the OC, Rod Gilmore and ole southern all ain’t wrong. Rutgers beat Indiana Saturday and we man handled Rutgers the week before and why because we moved the chains and kept the defense on the sidelines. Y’all just don’t like it because it’s ugly winning football. Just finish this season out with wins running the ugly QB draws and we’ll open up the offense hopefully next year. For goodness sakes roam we are winning.

No, I don't like it because winning ugly against bad teams isn't proof of anything. QB is still a big problem, I don't care about beating Rutgers ugly... I care about beating good teams.

I certainly don't understand that thinking. I would think they should be looking towards next year and using these last 2 games to try some new things offensively and give some young guys a chance to show what they can do. And also totally cut Levis out of the plan then push him towards the portal.
Prog
They don’t want a losing season and they’ll run plays that will give ‘em the best chance of winning regardless of how ugly it looks. I’ve got proof look at the last 3 games lol. It will be the same thing this week I unless we get a big lead then they’ll open things up but if the game it tight expect the same thing you’ve watched the last 3 weeks.

This really doesn't make sense... What, were they running a different offense the first 5 games just for sh*ts and giggles, not caring about giving themselves the best chance to win?
@roaminglion. I didn’t say they were running a different offense in the first 5 games I’m telling you they’re going to run plays that they think is going to win these next 2 games and if that means playing 2 QB’s running up the middle that’s what they’re going to do. They don’t care what we think about the plays they call they’ll call plays that move the chains and scores and lowers the chance of our QB turning the ball over. It’s also working that’s why we won the last 3 games.

You really need to stop saying something is working just because we win. You win as a team, not due to rotating QBs. Sometimes you need to realize that what is going on is a hindrance to winning against better teams, and not pat yourself on the back because you beat Rutgers.
The defense in 2004 didn't stink because we were 3-9, they were great but had zero offense. Clifford wasn't great last year because we were 11-2, his stats were padded against poor teams. Wins and losses tell the story of the overall team, not specific parts of it.
Just my opinion I see our OC being very careful with the play calling because of all the turnovers we’ve had this year it’s been very conservative but that’s just what I’ve seen maybe y’all see something different.
Roam, when you win you did something right and when you lose something went wrong that’s just the way I see it.

So the defense did something wrong in 2004 when no one scored more than 21 points on them all year? They averaged 15 points per game.
Yeah, THE TEAM did something wrong... not the defense. Just like the team did something right these past 3 games, not rotating the QBs. Sometimes you win in spite of things. I mean, we won a lot of games with Koa Farmer starting but anyone could see Parsons was better and should have been starting that year.
@roaminglion. I said the OC was calling plays that also keeps the defense on the sidelines and when the defense is on the sidelines that’s always a good sign especially if the offense is moving the chains. The offensive play calling is why we’re on a 3 game win streak but that doesn’t mean the defense hasn’t helped. This whole thing started because you and remoh don’t like the play calling and I’m just pointing out the play calling on offense is the main reason we are winning now. I got some homemade chicken and dumplings to eat I’ll be back shortly 😁

"The offensive play calling is why we’re on a 3 game win streak"
And I am saying, no it isn't. Our play calling hasn't changed, the reason we're on a 3 game win streak is because the teams we played are the worst in tour division and the defense played better. Not because they were "rested"... We also kept the Hoosiers off the field and held the ball in that game, but LOST. We had the ball and kept Maryland off the field... and LOST. We held the ball and kept Nebraska off the field... and LOST.
Time of possession was no different in the games we lost to the games we won.
From what I see Clifford ain’t being put in position to beat us turning the ball over I guess you see something else. We were airing the ball out in the first 5 games and Clifford wasn’t taking care of the ball. I don’t think the OC has much confidence in Clifford that’s why he’s turned to Lee running the ball and turned to Levis on short yardage running up the gut and it’s worked.

Clifford threw ints on screen passes and 10 yard open receivers... hardly airing it out.
He just stopped overthrowing the ball so much. Also the line seemed better, but as I said the teams we were playing aren't good.
