I would suspect with technology what it is today it is hard to get clues on the coaching search.
- Anything given to the media would be disinformation to confuse (PSU) or to get a better contract (coach/agent).
- Face to face interviews are not necessary with the internet
- Maybe the 2-4 big donors know something

I honestly believe that the new HC has already been hired and signed a contract in principle with Penn State already...Nobody has a clue who it is because they have done a tremendous job containing the leaks...I have total confidence that whoever the hire is it will be a great one...

Correct Roam, I would put Brohm at the top of my list. But like Sargent Schultz 'I know nothing'. Sometimes you just have to trust those above you and the process. It is kind of a crap shoot anyway.

I’m not to sure about Brohm now, he just gave a game away to Clemson. Kind of reminded me of a JF coached game. I think the choices for a “big splash” hire are slim now. I wonder how Chesney from James Madison would do here? He’s been a winner at every stop he has been.

Manny is definitely nowhere close to a splash and is probably not even a drip. I took him off my candidates list for the third time this season after he blew another one against lowly UVA. Terry Smith has shown more in 4 games than Manny has shown this entire season.
@psujoe I actually believe TS has had the team ready to play as well but he’s not gettin the job Jim Knowles cost him a chance of being the HC. Virginia is 8-2 so lowly might not be the right word to describe Virginia but it may have been a game Manny needed to win. I don’t believe Manny is their guy if he was he would’ve been named HC already to keep the recruiting classes together and he would’ve already resigned as HC at Duke it ain’t like they’re playing for a NC and imo that would’ve had been the thing to do. We’ll see what happens. Regardless there is no splash coaches out there except maybe Lane Kiffin and he was fired from the Raiders and USC for losing so he’s had problems in the past as well.
Personally I would not have given the job to TS anyway because I don’t believe he’s HC material but he has his place at Penn St if he decides to stay on. Either Penn St has something up their sleeve with the next HC which is what I believe is going on or they don’t have a clue what they’re doing that’s your 2 options imo. When we get our next HC we’ll see which one is the right call because we’ve lost a shit pot full of good football recruits.
@southern-psu-fan yes UVA is lowly just like the rest of the garbage ACC. Not one team in that POS conference would finish above .500 in the B1G or SEC and it was proven how lowly of a conference it is in sPittsburgb this past weekend. The ACC getting one team into the playoff will be a crime and taking a spot away from a more deserving program. Even the playoff committee sees how trash that conference is.

@roaminglion maybe you missed the leads we had against Iowa and Indiana he wins them 2 games he sitting at 3-1 right now with Nebraska and Rutgers left. Finishing 5-1 would’ve possibly got him the job but Jim Knowles didn’t get it done so here we are.
