Way too early for this and I'm sure it will change. Early betting line has Penn state a 7 point favorite over PITT.
We’ll win by 21
Exactly right! If only the scam committee thought this. Ain’t no such thing in a bad win and there’s definitely no such thing in a good loss when you’re playing big dawg football! It’s trying to make excuses for losing kind of like the crowd that wants everybody to get a trophy lol. Same thing.
Southern, you bring some good topics and knowledge to the table. Other than that I'm not sure where you get this scam stuff from. The best teams get picked.
When some teams get punished for losing and some teams don’t it’s a problem. This playoffs crap ain’t complicated to fix but if they fix it, it takes power out of the people who’s pulling all the strings hands. Snake, when you are dealing with billions of dollars you better believe they’re some shady things going on.
Snake, how can this scam look at penn st’s football team and tell them well we know you won the big 10 championship and beat Ohio st on the field but we still believe Ohio st is better than you lol. It’s like in 2014 when we got cheated playing Ohio st on the replay that the big 10 got wrong. They had the nerve to tell 20 million people watching the game the replay booth didn’t have the same view as people watching on tv did lol. Some of y’all are some of the smartest people I’ve ever talked to but y’all get deceived WAY to easy lol i still love ya though
2014, 5 losses
2016, lost to PITT, a non conference opponent and lost to Michigan.

Maybe the best teams get picked in Vegas, but not by the scam committee.

SMH, lol. So thick headed to understand. So you call it a scam committee out of frustration because of Penn State lacking appearances?

Because PSU lost twice, once to Pitt and once destroyed by Michigan. OSU lost on a fluke blocked FG play by 3 points to #5. They also beat #6, #7, and #8 in the rankings.
That's how, it's really not hard to figure out. That's not a "scam", it's just someone who disagrees with the opinion that PSU should have been picked that year.
I feel PSU should have gone to the CFP that year, but it's not hard to see why OSU was picked. Head to head is a tricky thing, would you say Pitt was better than Clemson or us that year? I mean, they beat both of us... so why not???

No, I call it a scam committee because of their poor excuses for selecting who they select and leaving others out, especially conference champs! Their reasoning seems to be based on whatever justifies their selections, shifting between strength of schedule, margin of victory (or loss), "eye test", etc, etc.

Nonsense, they have been very consistent.
2014: All conference champs, no one with two losses
2015: All conference champs, no one with two losses
2016: Two conference champs had two losses, so they took one loss Ohio State
2017: Two conference champs had two losses, so they took one loss Alabama
2018: All conference champs, no one with two losses
Pretty straight forward, if you want to make the playoff don't lose twice. They obviously value overall record very, very highly.
They changed up the way they picked because it got Ohio st in just like they did when they took the Tide when the Tide lost the last game of the year. The only consistency I see is the favoritism towards certain teams or coaches. It’s all about where the money goes because if not UCF could get in and we know that ain’t happening.

I guess then strength of schedule is not a criteria. Load up on patsies, just don't lose twice.

Yet Ohio State had a better SoS than we did, and a harder OOC than us in 2016, but yeah... go with the notion that it was all about loading up on patsies.

Nonsense, if it was all about money they'd be against Alabama getting in every year. TV ratings are what drive the money, and the ratings are lowest when Alabama is playing Clemson. Highest ratings they've had were Ohio State vs. Oregon.
Want to know why Michigan State got in? They didn't lose twice, that's why. They aren't some national power, they aren't some glamour name... They just won the Big Ten and didn't lose twice. Period.
Oklahoma missed every time they lost twice. The Pac 12 has missed 3 out of 5 years... Every time because their champion lost twice.
I mean, I just have no idea how you could look at these facts and still say they keep changing how they pick the teams. NO THEY DON'T, the teams always have one thing in common: 1 or no losses.
Michigan State is not a glamour team, they got in. Oregon is not a glamour team, they got in. Washington is not a glamour team, they got in. They all have the same thing in common: They didn't lose twice. This isn't freaking rocket science, the Committee obviously doesn't like teams that lose twice.
SOOOOOO tired of this topic!!!!! Can't we move on to something else!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
😂
Me too. I was going to change the subject and post a reminder about what's happening tomorrow night at 8PM, but I'll just shut up, LOL.
SOOOOOO tired of this topic!!!!! Can't we move on to something else!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
LMAO, just don't read it. 😂😂😂
In other words you are saying it ain’t about the best 4 teams it’s abiut not losing twice? Sorry navylion I had to get this in.
No. It's about the 4 best teams, but they just pick them different than you would.
One could also say about your way that "It's about conference champions and not the best teams"? Those people could point to wild cards in the NFL and say those teams won the Super Bowl but didn't win their conference.
It is all subjective because of the way it is set up. You keep saying the people on the committee are scams because they keep changing the way they pick. I show you they have been consistent, you don't care. I tell you their own website states they use many different metrics, and each person on the panel chooses a bit differently, and you still say they lied. However, they never said what you keep insisting they said. LMAO
i am done!
No you ain’t. Their own rules say conference championships and head to head did you not see that? I’m done because I have proof that I’m right if they really wanted a true championship we’d have a 8 team playoff but like I said they can’t dictate who gets in that way so they can decide where the money goes. It’s all about money and power!
