If he is 20% as successful as Cael has been we got ourselves a fantastic coach...I have to say I was less than enthusiastic when I found out about his hiring but the more I research this guy the more excited I get...I can't wait to see how much he can accomplish with what the Penn State program can offer him...I am curious to see what he can do recruiting wise...

Yes FD, no doubt he seems to be a good coach who does more with less but recruiting is the big question.

And just like THAT!! Iowas State has their new head coach. Obviously knew the Penn State hire was a done deal much earlier. Unbelievable

Neither am I FD. I was just pointing out it took us over 50 days to get a coach while it took them hours.
Do you know who they hired Hawaii? I also think you have to look at the fact that if Kraft gets this hire wrong he is out...So I am sure he wanted to be damn sure he got somebody in here that can get the job done...I didn't mind the wait...My concern is that he was going to make a bonehead hire...From what I can see with the limited research I have been able to do on this guy I would say he made a great hire...Time will tell but right now I am excited to see what this guy can do...I don't think the Iowa State AD was facing the same pressure that Kraft was under as to be honest Iowa State ain't Penn State and that isn't a knock on them it is the case with 99% of the football programs out there...PSU is a top 10 football program...

Oh hell, I agree with everything you say there FD. I was just surprised how fast it was. They hired the HC from Washington State I think I saw his name to be Jimmy Rogers FWIW. However, our hire was way too nerve wrackingly long for comfort.

@roaminglion you right about one thing Roam, you can’t believe anything the sports media says anymore. I do believe Pennlive had the most reliable news. I don’t subscribe to Pennlive but I check the site out just to see what they’re saying but I can’t never read the whole articles.

The sports media business is all about clicks and eyeballs...It's about entertainment and not about reporting what is really going on...Everything needs to be sensationalized to create some sort of crisis or controversy...It's too boring to just say who somebody is looking at...
