We lost to every good team in the East
A opening win against a good Wisc team that really didn't improve much
A win against Auburn even though the SEC officiating did it best to bring one home.
No rushing game against, well lets be honest, the weakest teams on our schedule.
Couldn't close the Iowa game because we had no backup QB, no running game.
Loss to IL, still baffling. Did not make adjustments on D and we played a one legged QB.
Good game against OSU but ...
Good game against UM, one play away..
Interesting game with Rutgers only because we saw a backup QB.
One play away from beating MSU at MSU.

We can blame play calling and coaching all we want but this is simply Offensive Line related no RB with a 100 yard game, beat up QB's, ineffective on third or 4th and short. Where would you rank our offensive line? 30? 40?
If I were Drew Allar I'd want to know what you are doing about this obvious weakness.
--------
Let me add that I am tired of the statistics. They are an out for coaches decision making.
I buy not returning kickoffs but what JF needs to understand about the statistics he uses is that they are general. Average D1 Oline against Average Dline... We do not have an average O-line JF, you need to look at your matchups
Our offensive line going for it against a good Dline? The sample is small and the results are poor. Today onbthe important drive we had 3rd and 4th and short and lost yards running on both. I bet our conversion rate on 3rd and 3 to 5 is as good as our sucess rate on 3rd and 1-2.
4 down lineman on that 4th and game an one blows thru the center guard gap and blows up the play. The metrics don't see that coming but we've seen it enough this year that we know. Were you hoping they would go with a pass defense? Maybe a nickel D on 4th and 1
The year in review:
We had a below average offensive line, and Franklin stubbornly thought that just doing the same thing over and over again was "commitment to the running game" and eventually our poor OL would magically turn into a good OL.
The end.

Definition of insanity.
