LOL, there's a reason Xi and China strung us along in trade deals and balked at the last minute several times. It's because Trump gave them all the leverage... That's what happens when you go into a trade war without any allies on your side, it's incredibly stupid and gave China plenty of room to do whatever they wanted.
Yeah it looks tough, but it's just stupid. Many of our trade allies in SE Asia have gone over to China on his watch as well, and now even Japan and South Korea are wondering why they need to continue as our allies since all Trump knows is to threaten them with pulling out our forces. They are hedging their bets and doing more business with China now than before.

Also, please give us evidence that Trump has been tough on China. I asked Southern to do this a month ago and Iām still waiting on the response. The only thing Trump did that affected China was the recent closing of the Chinese consulate in Houston. Otherwise, if you explore the issue more, the evidence points to Trump posturing to China with no substance or, inexplicably, complimenting China. Are we just supposed to overlook or forget about that?Ā

Last Fall the Philippine President, Duarte, suspended the Visiting Forces Agreement with the USA. After seeing what the Chinese did to Hong Kong, and that they continue to dump billions of tons of cement in the South China Sea, Duarte is now revisiting his initial decision. And, Japan will never ally itself with China, and neither will South Korea or Vietnam.Ā
